We just got back from our weeklong cruise, so let me share with you what I think, so good and bad highlights were:
Good
- generally, the food. The Haven breakfast was nice to have and definitely more unique ingredients and higher quality of ingredients in the food. I enjoyed the French press, coffee, and the fresh squeezed orange juice. They ended up bringing the Sriracha from another Haven ...
Went into this cruise excited but eyes wide open having read all the reviews here and on Reddit. This review is after having just sailed in a Haven 2Br with three kids aged 5, 8 and 10 so this is more specific to the Haven which we’ve stayed in on two other NCL ships.
The Pros:
- The ship is indeed beautiful and the Haven area is lovely, now situated aft with a pretty infinity pool and two ...
My family and I cruise quite a lot. We just got off the Prima. Usually my son loves the kids club but this time it was so hard to get in that we stopped trying. Instead of just being able to drop him off we have to sign into a queue and wait 30+ (after the doors opened) before we could get to the front of the line. It was ridiculous. On top of that it wasn't open while we were in port which ...
We are long time sailors of NCL since 2012 when we sailed the sky for our honeymoon. The Prima, don’t get me wrong is definitely by looks and amenities like comparing a Ford to a Mercedes Benz. Aesthetically the Prima is beautiful, bright, and can rub elbows with a celebrity ship. That being said sailing on the Escape before and the Sky before the Prima does have a few faults. Anyone who has ...
Booked a cruise with stops to Caribbean: Harvest Caye, Cozumel & Roatan. Liked the fact that this was a fairly new liner. I had bight expectations, but was disappointed. There is no luxury on Prima, it is indeed very minimalistic even down to the essentials store. I was hoping to find some t-shirts and goodies, and was left with zero options. They had a few shirts but sizing was for small ...
We were looking forward to our cruise on the Prima, which was our 4th Norwegian cruise.
We were disappointed, to say the least.
We found the ship to be poorly-designed. They substantially reduced the availability of fare-included dining options in favour of 8 specialty, a-la-cart restaurants. They made the tiny, crowded buffet a major thoroughfare to the pool deck.
We paid approximately ...
For being a new ship the design was terrible. Very choppy design. The atrium was very small, not enough chairs for watching entertainment only 1 bar. We finally went to the casino and took chairs. The night clubs could only fit around 50 people and 1/2 of that was standing room only. Getting a drink on this ship was very hard, long lines and long waits. Entertainment during the day was really ...
First time on a NCL ship. Previously sailed on RCL, Carnival and Celebrity. This was cruise number 6, I think.
I've read several reviews bashing this ship about it being poorly designed, crowded and all the staff was disinterested. I will disagree to an extent. I had zero issues getting a table in any food venue. Yes, they were busy but I don't care what ship you are on that at 6pm, ...
My husband and I took our 34th anniversary cruise on the Prima out of Galveston. We parked in the Express Lot and it was an easy walk to drop our bags off and go check in. We checked in at around 11:00 am. There was no line and we were able to walk right onto the boat from there.
We checked in at our muster station and then went down to the theater on deck 6 to make reservations for the ...
We were sailing for our first time with NCL. Saw great pics on the PRIMA so decided to give it a shot. We sailed multiple times with Royal Caribbean and absolutely loved it.
The Good: great looking ship. Aesthetically very pleasing, clean, nice staterooms (balcony 10th floor for us). People complain about the layout of this new class of ship but we didn’t mind it. Smaller, easier to get around ...
