Chose this trip for the itinerary as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.
The cabin was fine, but the food was not up to par when compared with other cruises we’ve taken. There was plenty of it and the soft serve was very good, but we expected some special dining nights, like filet or lobster but that didn’t happen.

We picked this cruise for the itinerary, which was amazing. The ship was clean and our mini suite had enough storage for 4 of us. The cabin attendant was great! The food was not. O’Sheehan’s was our preferred place to eat. The buffet had a lot of food but nothing good or warm. Hard to find a snack. We found ourselves hungry because we didn’t enjoy the food. We have sailed on the NCL Dawn three times.Always have enjoyed.This time was no exception.The Dover Sole at Le Bistro was so delicious.Patti and Jose in the Atrium each evening performing was wonderful.

The overall cruise was ok. This was my first extended cruise so not much to compare to. I'll start with negatives. I have been on 5 cruises previously with 4 different cruiselines (including Disney, Princess, and Royal Carribean). My experience on Norwegian Gem was by far the worst.
1. The stateroom is poorly designed, with no outlets near the head of the bed. Family members with CPAP machines had to run extension cords across the entire room to be able to use their medical device.

Cabin was fine as noted below. However I did notice that the carpet could have been cleaner. Bathroom was tight but well laid out.
1). Fun party boat with mostly middle age and younger folks. (A waiter told us the average age on this 4 day Bermuda weekend cruise was 48 as compared to an 11 night Canada/New England just prior to our sailing where the average age was 68!)

My husband and I were on our honeymoon, the service on the ship was fantastic, the servers were friendly and upbeat.

We booked our Norweigian cruise through AAA. Our travel agent was great. AAA does not book directly through Norwegian, they have to go through Pleasant Holidays. We had to sign a waiver to not hold AAA responsible for any issues that arise. I think I now understand why. AAA probably doesn't want to deal with unhappy customers.
