We choose this cruise because of the location that it cruised.
The ship was okay. the shore excursions were really good. The problem was with the booking. We were a group of 15. It was a nightmare trying to get NCL to correct errors on birth dates and names. They also did not live up to their contract to pay for transfers from the ships docking port to the airport except for a few of us. There ...
Please see my overall viewpoints regarding this cruise...
Great:
1) Customer Service. Crew was very helpful and sweet. Our cabin was always clean. Easy embarkation and disembarkation. Seemed organized and we enjoyed being 'pampered.'
2) Loved the games! Trivia and organized 'game shows.' The nightly entertainment wasn't too bad-for a mid-sized ship I felt it was good.
3) Excellent ...
We organised this cruise as a relaxing week in the sun for me and my wife, visiting a couple of new ports (for us) and a few old favourites. The pre-planning by Scotland's Cruise Centre was top notch. We flew from Edinburgh to Barcelona and jumped in a taxi to the port (39 Euros) without a hitch. The process of welcoming us on board was flawless and our luggage arrived at our stateroom within half ...
This was cancelled twice due to covid so we were excited to finally go. Second cruise on Epic, so we knew what to expect.
Embarkation smooth and trouble free, food was wonderful, staff attentive and brilliant. Masks were not enforced, only when docked at Italian ports, which we fully expected.
But Ship is starting to show its age a bit. Discoloured tiling and stains on pool, worn benches ...
Initially looking at another British Isles cruise that includes Belfast, Dublin and Liverpool, I ended up on this itinerary that embarks at Reykjavik. This definitely is a rarity as few big ships do turnarounds at Iceland. Not only could I spend more time exploring Iceland's inland and south coast from the capital, but also see three other Icelandic towns without taking a flight or a car. Another ...
Mainly choose this cruise since it was relatively easy to book at a late date prior and was interested in the ports of call. Had been to most of ports before both cruise and non-cruise.
Embarkation was relatively smooth, but there was a free shuttle service from train station that we were not aware so ended up walking. My miss, but I think NCL could have done a better job promoting ...
This is a review of my family’s cruise on the Norwegian Epic from Rome to Rome beginning 5/31/2021. We had a fantastic time.
Rome
We arranged through NCL to have 3 nights in Rome before our cruise. NCL provided shuttles to and from the port, but not from and to the airport which we managed ourselves. It’s a good idea to get into your departure city a day before the cruise in case of airline ...
Our cruise seemed about half full - perhaps a bit more - only half of the breakfast buffet at the very back of the ship was open each morning.
Make sure you download the app before getting on the ship!
I've uploaded one day's worth of the Freestyle Daily as photos.
Service - It seems like Norwegian has been reading the reviews here, because some of the things other people complained ...
My husband had always wanted to visit Iceland and we happen to find this cruise just 2 weeks before it sailed! The ship was only just over half full with passengers which made it more enjoyable since we didn't have to "fight" to get to the buffet, leaving the ship for excursions, and plenty of crew to help with any problems.
I do need to COMPLAIN that the internet was down for the last 3 ...
We had booked the Greek Isles for October 2020, but Covid intervened, and the cruise was cancelled. We rebooked for May 2022, and all was a go. Embarkation was very easy because we had Covid tests before travelling to Rome. Better to have the test and not need it than the reverse. The ship was only 40% full because NCL is gradually ramping up, but their entire fleet is now sailing. The ship ...
