sailed on 1/14/2024 out of port canaveral. This was my first cruise by myself. My friends normally make the cruise plans and tell me what to book. I just booked one of the cheapest cruises within my time frame and went this year alone.
As many reviews have noted, it was at capacity. This was the longest lines I have waited in on any cruise before to get drinks at a bar. You expect it to get ...
Norwegian has always been a must on my cruising lists for how nice they are. I figured this would be perfect for me and my husband since it was his first time ever going on a cruise and took years to convince. The crew itself were great! Ran thin but always so happy and nice. The ship was very outdated over booked and upgraded balcony room beds were just two cots pushed together. Sanitation was ...
Because i used to love ncl. After this cruise not so much. I am almost saphire and probably won’t make it to it. The food was awful. Pasta e fagioli was clear broth with flour in it. French onion ,onion and broth with a crouton and a spoon of cheese.
Cagneys surf and turf, lobster burnt from broiler and filet was tough as leather. Still charged me for it.
Room made up 3 times in whole ...
My son purchased this cruise and i was excited to get away for a week and relax…wrong!! After waiting in line to get through the drop off, security and finally boarding the boat, we waited 10 minutes for a packed elevator. Upon entering our small tiny cabin i noticed how dated it was, the two small 30 year old twin sunken in mattresses, the toilet was in a shower stall and would not flush for a ...
If you like sitting in your cabin, the norwegian epic is the ship for you. There were so many people on the ship, we waited 20-30 for a drink at every bar, for anything other than the buffet there was an hour and a half wait from the moment they opened, we couldn’t get a seat on the pool deck, and couldn’t get into any shows (even showing up 45 minutes early). On sea days, it was almost impossible ...
Man, such a crappy cruise line. We have cruised with Royal 3 times and had no issues whatsoever. I don’t even know where to begin with this one. The boat itself was so underwhelming (the Epic one). Very few hottubs and pools, one of the 2 pools was always out of order, hottubs (4) were never hot. Not enough for 4,000 people anyhow. No frills either. Other boats have go karts, ice rinks, zipline, ...
Previous to this, I have been on three Royal cruises and they have been wonderful. I cannot believe the difference between this cruise and my past ones. This cruise may have turned me off of cruising all together.
Positive highlights:
1. Food was really good at all the dining options.
2. The rooms were clean and I liked how they had them set up where the toilet was separate from the ...
Upon arrival into our stateroom we could immediately smell black mold and the floor was soaked. We called several times to housekeeping to fix it. Eventually, after days had passed they cleaned the carpet briefly. For someone that is asthmatic, that doesn't fix the problem. At no point in time did anyone ever apologize or even pretend to be concerned about the smell that you could smell all the ...
We booked this cruise with the pre paid free at sea option. It included drinks, dinner and wi-fi. We had also prepaid gratuities. NCL neglected to enter this information on our sea pass and began charging us. Now we had to stand in the mile long day one line for guest relations. They then asked us to present proof of purchase. I guess their computer programs were unable to bring this ...
Just a ridiculously bad cruise in almost every category. I consider this an unfortunate experience and feel embarrassed to have brought my entire family to share in this experience. The one positive is “at least we didn’t get food poisoning.” We have cruised extensively on other cruise lines ranging from Princess, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Oceania, to Azamara so have some experience with ...
