Depends what you want

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

First cruise with Norwegian. We’ve taken 3 others on Celebrity & Carnival. There were some good things about the cruise but many others that left us thinking it was just an average experience. Tot seems to depend on what you want. For kids maybe a good ship. If you like many nicer dining experiences maybe a good choice. If you like the loud pool scene they offer that. For us those aren’t ...

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

We chose this cruise to see the variety of beauty available in the different Hawaiian Islands. The islands are beautiful and cruising is a great way to get to each one saving time and hassle by not dealing with airports so our main objective was accomplished. I have sailed on Norwegian Cruises before so I had some expectations of what I would be getting for my money. However, some advice I ...

Below average service and sub par excursions

We chose this cruise because of our past experiences with Norwegian. In the past we have been extremely happy with the line. We were not Haven guests on this trip. We also had friends who cruised for the first time and were deciding if they would like this type of trip. Overall the trip was average to below average WRT service, the room and bed, The cleanliness of the ship, casino prices, and ...

While we had a wonderful time and felt safe on board, there were a number of areas the cruise line missed the mark: 1. We paid for an upgraded dinner at Teppenyaki restaurant. Of the four people in our party, there was a problem with the meals. Raw chicken was served and two people were served things they repeatedly stated they were allergic to. We even booked it for the first sitting so the ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

Second time on Norwegian Jewel. Previous time was nice but not amazing. We chose it again because of the itinerary. What we did not like this time: - lack of sufficient and clear information prior to embarkation. the website is not working properly, no responses on email or phone. Problems with booking excursions. - the ship's entertainment pretty much resembled last year's programme - ...

The Jade is no jewel

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Jade

The good: The ship is in great condition in all common areas. we had great weather once outside of Tampa. No issues with sailing. Disembarkation was quick we got off at 8:30 am without effort. I'm focusing review on food and entertainment since these are hot button issues currently. The Bad: The food on this ships sailing was a C- in the buffet and the MDR. The overall vibe was that NCL ...

The cruise has a great variety of things to do and always keeps you well fed. There is a main dining hall that has included breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are also ALOT of bars, restaurants and entertainment onboard. Writing this review it is important that i specify we had the "Free at sea package" Pros- - A LOT of places to eat and grab a drink - Entertainment with good music ...

Myself & 12 other female friends booked this cruise a year in advance because of the amazing destination. First disappointment the Mozembique port got cancelled months prior to the cruise sailing. But this happens on cruises & it was still a good itinerary. Departure time arrived with much anticipation on our part. After unbelievably long flights (which we were aware of) just not ...

Sailed on our 1st ever cruise on the Sky in 2003.

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Sky

Chose this busy 14 day, 14 port cruise out of Dominican Republic for a great itinerary. We sailed this ship on our 1st ever cruise in 2003 when we still had kids. The ship is now the oldest NCL ship I believe and one of the smallest. We sailed out of La Romana after flying into Punta Cana on Superbowl weekend. The port: La Romana is a nice port with plenty to do. Unfortunately, the D.R. is ...

Cruising is not what it used to be

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

We chose the NCL Breakaway because we were in New Orleans for Mardi Gras and have sailed NCL many times before. It’s a beautiful ship but the venues are not capable of handling the number of passengers on board. The showroom is smaller than those on smaller ships and required reservations on the only floor show twice on two days during the week. The show BURN THE FLOOR was good but it was ...
