Check your onboard charges before you leave the ship

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

I found inaccurate charges on my bill when I got home. Getting it straightened out is taking months and the customer service people are not real helpful. I have cruised on the Dawn 5 times. It is a nice little ship, the pool is too small and the music at the pool is too loud. Conversation is impossible. Food was good. I have taken the cruise because it only takes me an hour to drive to the ...

Cruising out of Boston was easy, no flight to catch, easy parking and small lines. We had the aft penthouse that came with perks that made the cruise. The Biggest problem with the cruise was all the smoking that was allowed aboard the ship, near the pool area where there are tables for eating. People would just lite up anywhere, one guy even tossed his butt into a trash bin.(instant idiot, just ...

This was our first experience with Norwegian. Family of 3 with a teenager. Sailed out of Boston which was very convenient.Things went smoothly boarding then we hit a major bump in the road. Norwegian charged my credit card for someone else's large casino bill. Thousands of dollars. The other person's name was on the transaction, they signed for it, but it inexplicably got charged to my account. ...

A decent vacation on the Dawn

We are in our 50's and booked this trip only two and a half weeks out using sailaway fare so we had no free drinks or meals. We took advantage of the bidding process and upgraded to a balcony but at this time of year the Atlantic was still very cold and we spent less time on the balcony than usual. Check in was easy enough and we boarded about 11:30 and dropped off stuff in out room. They do ...

The cruise was ok. We had a great time with friends. I feel that Norwegian has gone down hill some in their service in the restaurants and the food itself was not what it used to be. We had a great cabin and Steward. I loved the flexibility of getting on and off of the ship at any time while in Bermuda as I am a runner and went running very early in the mornings. Easy on and off. The shows ...

We picked the cruise for the convenience of not having to fly to the port of embarkation (Boston) and the destination (Bermuda) which is our favorite island. We sailed on the Norwegian Dawn on June 2nd from Boston. Very convenient going out of Boston. The ship looks very nice and all public rooms are nicely done. The cabin we had was 10572, a BA mid-ship balcony. This was a good location to ...

Understaffed and over priced beverage services

Nice cruise to Bermuda. Pool deck was packed most days with folks knee deep trying to get their drinks from the bar since beverage servers were not to be seen. Entertainment was great, food in the buffet was good, and service and food in the dining room was fantastic. Pool area was packed on the sea days and no place to sit. Large smoking area on one whole side made it miserable if you had ...

Love to cruise to Bermuda. Have done Norwegian Majesty and Norwegian Dream in the past. First cruise on the Dawn. We had a good time, entertainment was awesome and our room steward was fantastic! Cabins smaller than I remember on the other two ships. We thought the food had definitely declined in quality compared to our other cruises. Also, we noticed that there doesn't seem to be any ...

We chose this trip due to it leaving Boston, and its easy of travel for my disabled aunt. Although it was a nice trip, and there were a number of activities and entertainment options, this trip left much to be desired. I have traveled a number of different lines, the staff on this line left something to be desired. Housekeeping was wonderful, but the rest of the staff treated passengers as an ...

Norwegian Dawn is a tale of two cities. On the one hand, the fitness center, spa, and many of the restaurant areas are very nice, very updated, and very usable. On the other hand, the ship is suffering from a major lack of cabin capabilities from it's last upgrade and the ship itself is one of the most confusing I've ever been on. The ship is current ported in Boston and we sailed on it to ...
