We chose this cruise because it was embarking from Boston which is about an hour drive from home. We also had been wanting to see Bermuda again. We enjoyed the cruise even though we left Boston four hours later than we were supposed to due to a late beer truck delivery. The entertainment was very good and offered a variety of different options. It was nice to have a cruise ship stay in port ...
I have nothing to compare, but the Norwegian Dawn far exceeded all my expectations!
Teppanyaki, Cagneys, Moderno, Aqua and Venetian were all excellent for food. The buffet was very good, also! Didn’t enjoy Los Lobos at all, except their chips and salsa.
I was surprised that there was only one small pool onboard. It was always crowded. My husband surprised me with a 5-day Thermal Suite ...
Ship was clean, service was great, with the exception of getting drinks, little slow, with the advent of drink packages the days of drink waitstaff everywhere you look are over. Food was great except for specialty restaurants, again as with the beverage package destroying the ease of getting drinks, the specialty restaurant package has made it tough to get reservations. If not for these two small ...
We loved the idea of our first cruise being to Bermuda, where we could explore for a few days instead of only a couple hours. Bermuda was AMAZING. The people are so genuine and nice. We rented scooters to tour the island and found some wonderful spots to explore (a mix of local haunts and touristy attractions). I will visit Bermuda again for sure. I fell in love with the country and the people. ...
It’s a smaller ship so of course you don’t get all the amenities of a larger ship like multiple large pools, and slides and a few other things such as a devoted comedy area. It was easy to navigate after walking around for a few hours, the staff was amazing and I personally loved the washy washy guy even though some of the older crowd weren’t very fond of him. The complimentary food was good and ...
1st time on a cruise was an overall positive experience. The staff on the Norwegian Dawn was terrific! Everyone was helpful, friendly and incredibly hard working.
We got a mini suite with a balcony. The room was comfortable and it was so nice to be able to open the balcony door, sit outside and enjoy the view. We came back every night to a tidy room with a new "towel animal" to surprise us ...
This was DD's college graduation cruise, and she brought her high school best friend, who had also just graduated. Had the suite decorated and a cake delivered. Made them both quite happy! Total party was Mom, Dad, son, daughter, graduate daughter, and best friend.
Arrived in Boston a couple of days early. Stayed in a lovely VRBO that accommodated all 6 of us. Walked the Freedom ...
Overall a very good cruise to Bermuda, For frequent NCL passengers a few changes. Embarkation was a breeze, the only bottleneck was security and the scanners. We arrived curbside at the pier at Noon and 20 minutes later ordered lunch in the dining room. We had late dinner reservations the entire cruise 9PM and the specialty restaurants were all still fairly busy but winding down. It appears the ...
One person in our party was offered a cruise from the casino we took the offer and upgraded. Spoiled ourselves on the 1st cruise experience with a Family Suite with balcony. The Boston to Bermuda cruise had lots to do, or you could do nothing. Restaurant service was good and everyone was friendly. The food was good and plenty. The morning and lunch crew at Cagneys were super friendly and easy ...
This was my first cruise ever. Went with two of my friends and my girlfriend. We traveled to Bermuda from Boston. Didn't know what to expect.
Ship: The Norwegian Dawn is a big and beautiful ship with lots of things to do on-board.
Rooms: We stayed in an inside cabin and loved it. It is comfortable and very clean. Got a lot of good sleep. Room sturits are very friendly and nice. Our friends ...
