Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Had a great time. Crew was very friendly and attentive and most work very hard to make your trip very enjoyable. Shows could use a refreshing but still entertaining. Garden buffet was good but a lot of the same selections every night. Los Lobos is our favorite specialty restaurant. Bistro, and Cagneys we very good. La Cucina not so much. Casino can get crowed at time especially when a show is ...

The service as always, was excellent. The specialty restaurants were excellent also. The buffet however ,could have changed up their menu more. most of the shows were really good, but the singers on this cruise were not of the quality we have experienced in the past. the hot tubs were very sub par. I don't know why, but the temperature of the water in all of them had been turned way down, ...

Less passengers than the bigger ships, but still crowded

Departing from Boston, first time there. Getting to the port in the traffic was confusing and we had to drive around a couple of times. Once we got to the secured parking lot (prepaid online) a shuttle took us to the cruise terminal. The workers take your checked bags and point you in right direction to get in line for check in with NCL. Each passenger gets an ID card to use throughout the ...

Convenient cruise vacation out of Boston..no flights required

We have taken this cruise every year for the past 6 years, as it is so convenient for MA residents, and we love Bermuda. The entertainment itself was fine the first time we took the cruise, and the quality of the entertainment is good, just stale. Unfortunately, NCL focuses on recruiting new people to the cruise, rather than offering something new to return travelers. The entertainment is the same ...

We chose this cruise because we live in the greater Boston area so no flights were needed. We picked the first week in June because we thought there would be less children on board (before schools get out but there were still more than we thought!). We are retired, in our mid 60's, and healthy. We do find that this cruise out of Boston is a bit overpriced, but we are paying for the ...

Second time around

Once again we had a fabulous time on the Dawn. Embarkation went smoothly. We hired a company to transport a group of 10 and were dropped off right at the pier. This year we went the 1st week in June. Weather was great. The seas were rough on the way home. We stayed in an ocean view room 8150. There was a noise outside at night, maybe the lifeboats moving a little on rough nights. We could ...

All in all it was an OK cruise. We would have liked to know that when we docked in Bermuda on Sunday.... not to go Hamilton or St George, as in Bermuda all the stores are closed on Sunday... unlike the states where all are open. We took the ferry to Hamilton, not knowing this, and wasted an hour walking around Hamilton with know where to go. The beaches and the water was beautiful, and our ...

We have been on 45 NCL cruises. We take this cruise every year. We love the Dawn. We love Bermuda. Embarking in Boston was very easy. Staff and service was wonderful. Our cabin was clean. We spend very little time in the cabin, so we choose an inside cabin. Ari, our Stewart was wonderful. We hit very rough water due to a storm. The captain told us the storm was too rough near ...

The Pros: Excellent food, productions, activities and the ship was very clean! The new renovations were lovely, and items that needed to be fixed were being attended to. I assume they are listening to folks' comments! So-So: I would refrain from the specialty restaurants if you expect to be wowed. I was more wowed with the buffet. Long lines despite reservations and little attention to ...

We went with a group of 14. Overall, the cruise was fantastic. We got the ultimate beverage /meal package The beverage package was great...no slips to sign. You get cocktails/soda up to $15 per drink. Twice I got a martini and a nice glass of wine and we only paid the difference. We got 4 dinners in the specialty restaurants (no fees). We chose Cagneys, Los Lobos, Moderno and La Cucina . ...
