This was my first cruise and most likely my last. The cruise was filled to capacity to include 600 kids. At age 18 if a guardian signed off the 18 year old could drink and they hung out in groups with no supervision. The staff being over polite would not address the unruly teenagers or kids to include taking over many activities they should not have been in attendance at.

The only nice thing about the cruise was Bermuda and the entertainment. The food was below average. The ship was understaffed. The bar line ups was ridiculous and it was a rarity for a server to come around to take drink orders. The ship was full of children running around and out of control. We just took our first NCL cruise out of Boston on the Dawn. I will never sail with this cruise line again. The service was horrible took an hour to check in at Black Falcon Terminal the woman checking us in could not see our passports she kept trying to figure out the difference between my husband and my son (one is 50 the other is 16). Being from the greater Boston area, riding on the ship without flight or long drive was a plus for locals. The boarding was long lengthy wait, specially hard for my 2 years old.

I have been on the cruise to Bermuda from NYC on another Norwegian ship and thought it would be very similar. Very wrong! I never had bad service on the previous cruise. The Norweigan Dawn as said in other reviews is a little tired and has some issues throughout the cruise. We needed 2 people to open door to balcony,doors between balconies rattled constantly.
Railing on son's balcony lifted up, reported but no response.
Buffet was a joke, more like a bad cafeteria, food was hit or miss.
Brazilian restaurant was terrible, they sure knew how to ruin a piece of beef.

I came back from Bermuda which I go to every year as I love Bermuda more than any other caribbean island. The Dawn was the worse ship I ever been on peroid. About 7 years ago I went on it and wasent so bad. Still my favorite is Celebrity Cruise Line.
