It was the closest cruise to our 50th anniversary date. Friends had recommended Norwegian. Long time waiting to get aboard, Much better getting off ourselves. We were VERY disappointed in our "Ultimate dining package " We found out at the first restaurant, first night, that it was only good for ONE meal ! I had made reservations for each of the 4 nights, thinking I was getting 4 meals. In speaking to several of your staff prior to the cruise, NOBODY mentioned that we were only getting one meal ! Not very transparent, actually SNEAKY ! Bad Job, Crappy way to treat first time cruisers on Norwegian. But , you probably train them that way. The specialty restaurant , La Cuchina, was only average as it turned out. We cancelled the other 3 reservations, after noticing that they cost about $75 pp ! The breakfasts and dinners in the Venetian dining room were OK. The Beverage package was OK. The pool deck was very crowded, no chairs available and not enough staff to get you a drink without a long wait. This was the smallest ship we have been on. On board shopping was very limited, except if you wanted to spend hundreds or thousands. $10 T shirts were advertised for the last night but there were NONE there, only trinkets and junk . The ring we bought for my wife is turning her finger black. NCLs 100 mins of WIFI was useless, never worked. The entertainment was OK, for a small ship. Patti and Josy were very good. The highlight was our cabin and cabin steward, both very good. The weather was beautiful the whole cruise. Way too short of time to do anything in Bermuda, a place we like alot. Been there before. Stores closed in Hamilton, on a Sunday. We would classify NCL as better than Carnival, not as good as RCL. We would like a response to this review from NCL Read Less

We have sailed on the NCL Dawn three times.Always have enjoyed. This time was no exception. The Dover Sole at Le Bistro was so delicious.Patti and Jose in the Atrium each evening performing was wonderful. The only negative we found was the twenty year olds in the suite next to ours who got so drunk and had screaming girls at 3am pounding on their door.Who do you call on a ship in the middle of the ocean at 3 am to report this kind of event? This only happened on the last night out but left such a terrible memory. Our suite on deck 12 was very large and our room steward kept it very clean. Our butler was pleasant. Not our best ever butler but he tried very hard. All the meals were very good and we had no complaints.Bermuda was beautiful as always even after a hurricane.Such a special island. We hope to sail on NCL again soon. Read Less

Cabin was fine as noted below. However I did notice that the carpet could have been cleaner. Bathroom was tight but well laid out. 1). Fun party boat with mostly middle age and younger folks. (A waiter told us the average age on this 4 day Bermuda weekend cruise was 48 as compared to an 11 night Canada/New England just prior to our sailing where the average age was 68!) 2). Local folk from all walks of life. 3) We experienced every level of service.. From stellar service from Rose in ship photography who went above and beyond helping us connect to wifi when the IT department was long gone, to downright rude staff. Notably a front desk member was annoyed with a very simple question and a eat staff member seemed to unexplainably stomp off in the middle of serving us. (It appeared were walked in on some some of dispute between her and the hostess, since i we did nothing to provoke this. 4). The food:. The free stuff was not good. Honestly, barely edible, with exceptions. Garden Cafe buffet: Mainly just gross. Go here only if you have no other option. Omelets were ok. Crepes were ok. Fruit salads and slices were good. Soft serve machine was always broken. Topsiders: Mini version of inside buffet food but since it's exposed to heat and humidity, I'd just stay away. They do offer ice cream, and that is the exception here. Wings at O'Sheehan's were ok, as was the Spinach artichoke dip. Everything else we had was just weirdly prepared or not good. Bamboo: Didn't get to experience because strangely the Norwegian app indicated that "Reservations not Accepted". However, when we went there they were only accepting those with reservations. ??? Venetian:. Let me just say this. Save yourself. Eat here. We had something very good at every meal. Although, it takes time for your food, it was worth it. Aqua:. We didn't get to but has same menu as Venetian. Los Lobos:. Good, small portions, and you are paying reasonable ala cart prices. Teppanyaki:. Good. Entertaining but expensive. Drinks:. About average for vacation, figure on $10 drink. We did not do the drink package. We figured we'd have to drink at least 10 drinks a day per person to make it worth it. We brought wine aboard. All in all, it was a fun weekend cruise. Read Less

Before you decide to throw your money away on NCL, rethink your decision! Worst customer service I have ever seen. This is based on over 25 cruises my wife and I have been on. On Royal Caribbean, Carnival and MSC customer service has alway been a pleasure to deal with.Do to weather conditions I contacted NCL customer service earlier in the day and they assured me the ship was not changing its itenary. A few hours later I noticed a little weather advisory link on their website, when I clicked on it the information showed the ship's itinerary had changed. We never received any notification even though they had our cell phone numbers and email addresses. We contacted customer service to try to change to a different ship (even if I had to pay for a flight) and they denied our request. We tried customer service again the next day and got the same response. The only option they gave us was to cancel the trip and lose our money! Just awesome, way to go NCL, that's how to treat customers. We unfortunately decided to still go on the cruise instead of throwing the money away and had the worst cruise of my life! Everyone was upset, the staff on the ship were not very friendly because everyone was angry. We did have the drink package, however the only way to get a drink was to stand in lines at the bar. To add insult to injury while on the ship I had googled to see if the NCL Dawn had any complaints and I found a post that showed that the room we were in had an issue with bedbugs a few weeks before! Before you book on NCL, think about throwing your money directly in the water and save yourself the aggravation! Please note: insurance would not have helped this situation. https://www.wcvb.com/article/bed-bugs-bite-passengers-on-norwegian-dawn-cruise-from-boston-to-bermuda/22096424 Read Less

Our itinerary was changed the morning of the cruise from Bermuda to Canada. We had no time to repack and were not prepared for this destination at all and the cruise line was rude, curt and less than accommodating in every way. Our room was extremely loud, it sounded as if they were working on the ship with a steel drum and hammer all through the night! I had to purchase ear plugs. The heat was on in the room even though I had the a/c on the lowest setting. The onboard smoking allowed in certain room wafted everywhere!!! They had us stop at 4!! Yes you read that right four different ports, with zero time at each one to do anything, save their lame excursions. Was not worth the time or money and we will never - never book with Norwegian. All the thumbs down!!! The next time I choose to go to Bermuda we will fly!!! Read Less

Booked a 7day Bermuda cruise and was sent on a 7 day Canada & New England cruise on the day of departure due to Hurricane Florence. I am glad they chose to keep everyone safe but am shocked at what they chose for a contingency plan (since the Norwegian Escape sailing out of NY still went into the Caribbean). I feel Norwegian could have done several things differently to help ease the pain of the unfortunate itinerary change. 15 mins early is on time...arrived roughly 15 mins early for our requested embarkation time but had to stand around for an hour or so while they prepared the vessel. They did not have enough chairs or space for all the guests waiting. Definitely an area to improve upon as my boyfriend has a titanium hip from serving in the army and long periods of standing can be quite painful. I was told by several people that an itinerary change of this magnitude is quite uncommon but working in the customer service industry was taken aback by the poor customer service displayed both on and off the ship when we were told they were going to do everything in their power to make the situation better. No refunds for a cruise of lesser value, no credits towards future cruises or onboard spending, no complimentary upgrades at all - they even refused to honor a $4.00 speciality coffee even though we had the unlimited beverage package covering drinks up to $15.00. We did encounter some hidden charges (you're taxed on purchases while in US ports) that could have been avoided had better signage been displayed for first time cruisers not familiar with the process. We also opted out of the insurance which we were pleased with because we'd only get 75% of our money to use towards a future cruise. The shows on board were great, impressive to see such choreography with such little space and time. Well rounded variety for all ages and something to do at all times. The concept of an all inclusive cruise is incredible. I'm assuming if we had gone to our intended destination or something comparable my judgment would not be as jaded. The included venues had good food, and the freestyle dining made things easier. We are going to try again but with a different cruise line. I hope your luck is better than ours. Read Less

We picked the Dawn because of the Garden Villa Suite. We had a total of 16 traveling with us and this ship provided the best living and deck space to get together each day. As with other reviews, the room was fabulous and the ship was good too. Roal and Jairus, our concierge and steward, were the two that made the suite life sweet. There were no requests made that weren't met with "let me see" and soon after have it happen (with one exception that I will mention later). They took care of the 16 as if everyone was staying in the suite. We were so spoiled in one week's time that everyone has a slight case of the blahs with the real life some two weeks after returning home. Another benefit of the suite is the use of Moderno restaurant for breakfast and lunch. We did this many times and the food and service was far above the buffet. We had a couple of hiccups such as NCL changing the itinerary the night before sailing due to Hurricane Florence. Everyone packed for Bermuda but we ended up in Canada. Don't fault NCL but they did little to make up for the disappointment. Everyone received a $30 credit which was a nice gesture but not proportional to what people spent on the cruise. The other head scratcher was that we had to pay for drinks brought up to the room even though we had the drink package. We had our own butler who was supposed to bring food and drinks so it wasn't a staffing issue. The rationalization given was that we had 6 bottles of booze that we selected as part of the suite and they gave mixers so we could make our own drinks. In the end, we would go on the Dawn if we got the chance to get the Garden Villa Suite. Read Less

Bermuda! Not to be. Boring Canada when still green is probably the worst of the worst. No time to research, shore excursions far pricier than original destination, staff was ready to leave for home (like we were). So sad to see many people get off boat when they reached Halifax (where they came from) and Sydney and New Brunsick, and Bar Harbor. I thought the Captain made an easy call and did not consider the passengers and that we literally hung out in our backyards for 7 days. Caught a virus. Food in main dining rooms was excellent. Shows were pretty good. But what a BORE. I could have and would have stayed home but we had absolutely no options nor compensation for this sucky cruise. Why did Escape go South when we did not? Why was Prince Edwards Island offered as an alternative? The passengers were unhappy and NCL could care less as they have offered no compensation for this bad call. We would have been out of Bermuda before Florence hit which it did not and would hardly have affected us since the course did not include any of the states that were hit. AWFUL! Read Less

Our cruise ship was suppose to go to Bermuda. Unfortunately, so was Hurricane Florence. Norwegian Cruise Line made the correct decision to divert our ship to New England and Canada. What a great cruise!! The weather was perfect in the upper 60’s and lower 70’s. The seas were calm and the excursions were plentiful to select from. Halifax, Nova Scotia was amazing. We visited the Fairview Cemetery where 151 victims of the Titanic disaster are buried. Such a humbling experience!!! We also learned about the great explosion in Halifax in 1917. Peggy’s Cove is a must see and great souvenir shopping there. In Sydney, Nova Scotia we enjoyed a very festive live fiddle show. In Saint John, New Brunswick we went to see the Reversing Rapids and learned about the high tide from the ocean pushing back the river!! Beautiful marigolds were planted in the middle of the highway by the school students. Our last stop was in Bar Harbor, Maine. We took a tour to Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mountain. Such a breathtaking view and excellent photo shots!!! To end our day, we ate lobster at the West St. Cafe, highly recommended by the ship and locals!! Oh my goodness, we ended our trip with triple chocolate cake!!! Norwegian Cruise Line took great care of us. I also loved the casino on the ship and all of the delicious meals they served to us!! Could not have asked to be treated any better. Thank you Norwegian Dawn for some of the best memories of my life!! Read Less

I have traveled many times on cruise ships. However, this was my first time on NCL. I chose NCL because a group of friends were traveling on this ship to Bermuda. Before my trip I needed to get in touch with a representative of NCL and on both occasions it took over 40 minutes of being on hold before I reached someone. These two reps were very helpful, but who needs to be on hold for 40 minutes? I have pictures to document this since this is poor customer service. I wouldnt bring this up, but since I went on the cruise from Boston to Bermuda and all the things wrong with this trip, I needed to bring it up. It makes sense that the cruise diverted to Nova Scotia and Maine when it was supposed to go to Bermuda and we shouldnt be put in harms way of a hurricane. However, no attention was given to the new itinerary and in fact the crew was cut and made for a dirty, unresponsive cruise experience. The ship had cups and dirty trays everywhere. The elevators where over run with guests. The restaurants; even the main dining had long waiting experiences. The staff at O'sheehans Bar was unresponsive and even rude. The Bimini pool bar and grill was closed most of the time causing overflow at other bars around the pool. There was no staff to take any drink orders around the pool, we even had someone approach us and take our drink order who was a guest. The gym was decent. The pool area for kids looked like something crafted / painted in a day by 2nd graders and belonged in the projects. Los Lobos, La Cucina and Cagney's were worth the extra $ for dinner. The cafe garden was over run, crowded, and you would have thought no one had eaten before and couldnt get enough. The guests were like hungry locus on a crop. The guests were angry, drunk and clearly not enjoying the new itinerary. The entertainment was decent. The casino was decent but the casino bar was horrible with long waiting times and I had to get my own drinks on a number of occasions while playing black jack; even after asking for service. The best bar on the ship was Gatsby's Bar. The wait staff was always available and very friendly. They kept their cool and they were servicing not only the Gatsby bar but the overflow from the horrible casino bar, La Cucina and Le Bistro and they did an amazing juggling act. Leila needs special mention since she seemed to be at that bar often and always with a great attitude and smile. The excursions were boring; really nothing to do however Bar Harbor Acadia park was nice; who needs more shopping and bars? I would never recommend this trip; if anything go to Alaska or anywhere else but there is nothing worth seeing on this adventure. I cant believe with the beverage package you can not get bottled water or that it doesnt include the minibar. Read Less

This was supposed to be a cruise to Bermuda until Florence reared her ugly head. We were notified late Thursday night via text that our cruise leavind Friday morning would now be heading to nova Scotia and bar harbor Maine. No complaints about the cruise itself. The staff was polite & accommodating. The food was good, although the buffet could have been hotter. Only complaint is reimbursement for the difference in cruises. I dont mind paying for the cruise I took, but when I look on the website it's $300/person less than what I paid! By the way, this was our 1st cruise, but I hope it won't be our last! Although Florence ruined the location we made the best of it. I was amazed how friendly the other guests were. People would just start talking to each other like they knew each other for years. It definitely was a relaxing atmosphere! Read Less

I have had great experiences with Norwegian. We found the night before we were leaving that due to the hurricane our itinerary was NOT going to be Bermuda. We were disappointed but we did not that ruin our cruise. Our trip was paid for and we made the best of it.It is in the contract that they can change the itinerary. The ports in Canada we really nice and staff on the ship was great. Especially the bar servers on the pool deck. I have nothing negative to say about this vacation. The food was excellent in all the restaurants we ate in, entertainment was great, and our cabin & steward were excellent. He was very attentive to our needs and on top of it.I just wished those who upset about the itinerary change read their contracts and were grateful that Norwegian kept us safe from hurricane Florence. I wouldn't let this prevent me from booking with Norwegian again. Read Less

While Norwegian has no control over the weather, thank you Florence, our trip to Canada that was supposed to be Bermuda wasn't a total washout. I like the Dawn overall. The style and decor of the ship was very nice. It was easy to get around and it was exceptionally clean. As a smoker, I know just how nasty the smoking area can be, and even that was kept in tip top shape. Kudo's to the housekeeping staff for a great job. I LOVED the Lido Deck set up. It was much quieter than any Carnival I've been on and the service staff were perfection. Irene knew our names and preferred drinks by the second round. The "washy washy" folks I also loved. They were friendly, funny and served a great purpose. I think all ships should follow NCL's lead on this. Our cabin was a bit tight, but workable. Our bathroom was a joke. Whoever decided that it was a good idea to put a sliding glass door to separate the toilet from the rest of the bathroom should be analyzed. Anyone bigger than a teenager would have problems getting in and out of there, let alone a bigger person. Our cabin steward, Stephen was awesome. Our cabin was kept spotless and he was both friendly and professional. We had a "priva-sea" balcony on deck 8. I liked the way is was set back into the hull of the ship, much like a cove balcony on Carnival. Dining. At first I was impressed with all the different options offered. In reality, I was actually disappointed in the quality of the food, the only exemption being Teppanyaki and Moderno. Excellent food AND service, both. La Cucina could take some pointers from Olive Garden to come up to their standards food wise. Service was excellent. Aqua and Venetian, not impressed at all. Food was ehhhh, at best, service as well. 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee? Really? Buffet was ehhhh, as well. Selection was very limited, repeated, and anything that was supposed to be hot seemed to be lukewarm at best. Couldn't get butter to melt on a piece of french toast, a pancake or potatoes to save your life. I did like that there was a "coffee girl" to bring coffee and pastry around in the morning to the Lido Deck area. Reziel was a joy every morning, with her smiles and bubbly personality. Embarkation and Debarkation. AWESOME!!! I have 6 cruises with Carnival and use Faster To The Fun, and getting on and off with NCL in Boston was just as quick and easy as that. Maybe it's just that port, but I was impressed! I usually sail with Carnival. Will I sail with NCL again? ONLY for the Bermuda itinerary. I like the 3 days in port in Bermuda idea. Next time it won't be during hurricane season. Will I sail NCL again for any other cruise? Probably not. While it was "ok"... I find Carnival overall to be a better cruise line. But, that is just my subjective opinion. NCL was fine for what I wanted, and made the best of it when those plans fell through. It was miles from horrible, but a few yards from excellent. Read Less

We enjoyed the after dinner entertainment in the lounge. The performances were great, the daily bingo was fun and entertaining, and we had our own bar hop at the pool everyday. He was great. We are looking forward to many more cruises on the Norwegian Cruise Line. Any time we had a request for extra towels or blankets the room Stewart was always there to make sure our needs were met. Of all the cruises we have been on this I think was the best. The trip was very smooth and honestly felt like we were in a hotel rather than on the ocean. Us - we're experienced cruisers and platinum plus NCL. The not so good Embarkation - Boston does not have priority boarding for platinum and above. We asked multiple people, all said the same thing. "We don't do that here". NCL needs to be consistent, either have or not at every port. Food - worst food we ever had on an NCL ship, across the board. -Buffet for breakfast is terrible. Cold scrambled eggs, and sausage gravy. Hard biscuits. Eggs benedicts that more hard boiled than poached. -Osheehan's. It was a crap shot. One day you'd have no coffee spoons or jam, with one hash brown on your order and crispy bacon. The next day would have spoons and Jam and 2 hash browns with an order, and bacon so underdone you had to ask if they'd even tried to cook it. -Cagney's and La Cucina Neither one can cook a steak Both nights I ordered medium rare, to only have pink. DW ordered medium only to have no pink. -Teppanyaki - The food was. Actually the scallops were great. But no show. A few twirling knifes and eggs, then done. No singing, no jokes, no volcanoes, no beating heart of rice. The show is part of the reason we go. -Bambo Menu is very limited. We talked to couple later in the week that went, sat down saw the menu and left. Unfortunately we had the spicy chicken, I think it was Kung Pao and fried rice to share. The rice was OK. The chicken was so overcooked it was chewy and dry, with very little spice. Los Lobos - everyone raves about the guacamole. We don't like guac, so maybe that's the only thing to get. The rest of menu was very Americanize pedestrian Mexican. Not as good the Mexican restaurants we go to. We laughed because the prices were about the same as at home. It's OK. But surely not worth spending extra money to eat there. The good Service - Everywhere we went the crew seemed happy and were helpful. Entertainment - Hotwire is a band on board. They are one best cruise ship bands we've ever heard. We pretty much followed their schedule during the week, and attended whenever we could. -Luz the ACD is a don't miss act. One night each week she does her Tina Turner impersonation. We saw her a while back on the Gem. She still belts out Tina Turner tunes as great as ever. AlLl in all, it was fine, I guess. The service and the band make it as memorable, in a good way, as the food made it memorable in a bad way. Would we book the Dawn again? Probably not, as the food is a big part of cruising. Based on the itinerary, would we completely avoid the Dawn? That's still open for us to discuss. Read Less

Boarding in Boston was quick and easy-rooms on-board ready early and luggage arrived at stateroom before 5:30. Entertainment not as great as prior cruises but Jose and Patti as well as Hotwire were very entertaining. The Tina Turner tribute show by Ass't Cruise Director LUZ was phenomminal. Cruise Spent a lot of evenings in the atrium bar-Java Cafe. The bar staff were excellent-a definite credit to Norwegian. Ate at several specialty restaurants-Cagney's-Los Lobos-Le Bistro. Don't see the need for a men's pants dress code in Le Bistro- not necessary as long as you are in Bermuda-Bermuda shorts should be sufficient. Los Lobos was an OK experience-food was good but certainly not any better than the main dining rooms-Venetian or Aqua. We really enjoy Cagney's and the staff there seemed to go out of their way to make the dining experience special-well worth the price. Ate at the Bamboo cafe-very nice, especially considering it is a complimentary dining venue. Disembarking took less than 20 minutes. Boston is a great port! Sailing from Boston is very convenient as we live in the area and we love Bermuda. Theses two factors led us to choose to sail on NCL Dawn. We loved the casual dress onboard. It was a very relaxing cruise with Good food and service. Bar, lounge and atrium entertainment was excellent. The theatre entertainment could use improvement. Dancers very good but in need of production improvement. Bingo and Deal or no Deal Game are just money makers for NCL. Large prize bingo is a coverall which must be done in 47 numbers. I felt there should be $500 coverall for each day given the cost of bingo cards. Venetian Main Dining room ( aft) is much prettier and brighter with large windows than Aqua Dining room which is midship. Embarkation and disembarkation were very efficient. When first getting onboard the Venetian is open for seat in dining and well as Gadren buffet. We opted for the Venetian and it made the day very relaxing instead of crowded and harried at buffet. NCL is our only cruise line we have been on 8 cruises with them. This most recent cruise was the lowest quality out of all the others. It was unfortunate that there were so many low quality things that happened. We had two other couples with us as well and they experienced the same issues. This is definitely not the norm. There were plenty of nice and hard working employees on the ship but the bad ones stand out. First our room Stewart was horrible. The balcony was filthy from the day we got on till the day we got off. The same drink cup, cherry stem and what looked like dried blood on the floor. The toilet smelled of urine the entire cruise, She never cleaned around the coffee maker and we had to bed for more coffee and sugar daily. The bed was the worst we ever stayed on. The shower door fell off on my wife's foot and I had to call security to unlock the safe 3 times, finally stopped using it. Secondly the bars, The pool bar was always backed up took forever to get a drink. O'Sheehans bar maid was terrible and poor attitude she was the only one on and you never got service unless you got up and asked the hostess, then she would never come back. The main dinning Venetian just had bad service There were good things like The main dining Aqua was awesome service friendly and prompt it was our favorite dinner even over the specialty restaurants. The guy cooking burgers up at the top pool bar was very good. The singers husband and wife were awesome . Cruise next guy was great and friendly Front desk services people were very good and friendly. The gym was nice and pretty big but cigarette smoke was coming in somehow must be near a smoking area. Moderno was very good, Cagneys and La,cuchina were good but just not as nice as the new ships. We just went on the maiden voyage of the bliss so maybe we were a little spoiled. The buffet was very good. Not as nice as bliss but clean and fresh Read Less

I am from Boston & it was the main reason we chose this cruise. Took Carnival from Bahamas & had lots of fun so took Bermuda from home town Boston. Whole process was very easy from start to finish except Photography Dept. Would love to do again to Alaska with the same cruise line. Our cabin was really really good. the service was good. The story I want to recognize their two employees in dining room. His name is Jason & his boss Robin. since we are vegetarian, they took care of our food every lunch & dinner. they were so nice to make sure that we have a good time. miss you guys both. The cruise director was very funny & nice. overall it was a memorable trip. would do again with same cruise line. Weather was really nice. they provided ferry for free to go to St. George & we had really good time there too. Read Less

Birthday & celebration The staff on board will exceed your expectations and wow you for every second you are aboard. We were concerned when we booked. Getting help from NCL over the phone was painful. We had help with an outside travel agent who really did the heavy lifting on planning this trip...unfortunately after we booked directly with Norwegian. Once the travel agent from AAA help out....we knew we had a great trip planned. Once aboard...the staff was awesome. Food was excellent and plentiful. Better than the Capital Grill and Legal Seafoods. Loved the entertainment... Julie Barr, Tina Turner Act , Irish comedian show was excellent. We watched the Newly Wed Game with actual guest....very, very funny. JC Sanchez....you had us in stitches!! JC your cruise director had a week of fun, fun and more fun planned 24 / 7 We would book this trip with our friends and family members in a heartbeat. Read Less

We chose this cruise because it's leaves from our home town Boston. The staff was really friendly & nice except Photography. all the pictures they took was not good at all. The photographer was in a hurry to move lots of people that he didn't even informed us that pictures didn't come out right & let's take it again. The entertainment was very good. overall it was good experience. might try again for different destination. Shore Excursions is waist of money. don't do it. better of buying after you reach to Bermuda. it was much cheaper there. Dining staff & also Garden Cafe was really good. you can do plenty of activities at the cruise. they had programs lined up for all day. We had three children with us & they had a good time. Remember to take lots of pictures by yourself. can't trust their staff for pictures & also very expensive. Read Less

Staff, food & drink, ship, entertainment, excursions, all fabulous. One of my best vacas ever. Staff couldn't be friendlier or do enough for you. Hot food was hot and cold food was cold----and all delicious ! Ship is possibly considered a smaller older ship but it was plenty festive & fun if you wanted to be festive and plenty relaxing & quiet if you wanted to relax. Pretyy ship. Always clean. More than enough lounge chairs on the sun decks for full capacity ship which was great ! We saw the Irish musician/comedian in The Stardust Theater and he was GREAT ! The Famous Homes & Hideaways shore excursion was relaxing and interesting and fun ! Small boat for this excursion was not overcrowded. Roomy cabin (balcony cabin on deck 8) with enough "storage" to unpack just fine ! Magnifying mirror, safe, hair dryer, liquid hand soap at the sink, small fridge, fully working TV, and coffee pot in the cabin were big pluses. The bed was soooooooooooo comfy. Never slept so good ! Clean and pretty cabin. Nice balcony with two chairs and a little table. Pool towels provided. Shower was roomy and I wasn't expecting that. Shower was modern and worked great---Instant hot water when turning it on and good water pressure. Didn't hear much noise at night when turning in early from inside the cabin even though 8058 is in a convenient location right near stairs & elevators ..... and also near Stardust Theater.! Read Less

We picked Norwegian cruise to Bermuda, because the Boston port and Bermuda schedule (2 overnights stay in Bermuda), so we can spend more time in Bermuda and beautifully beaches. Dawn is a middle size ship and kind old. The breakfast was great and late night shows were very good. Not too much activities we were interested, one small swim pool with too many people (hot pools too). Most disappointment was the food in dining room, we did not enjoyed. Didn’t heard any good feedback about the Chinese restaurant too (actually really bad). I don’t understand why can they pick a better chef? Food is very important to us for the trip. So we end up eating at a 24 hours bar restaurant for dinner. The room service was outstanding. Staff was very nice on the ship, they worked very hard with long hours and still smile. A lot of bingo games on the ship, they sell a lot of tickets but with small amount of winners in my opinions. Read Less
