Worst Food and Entertainment on the Ocean

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We were looking for a cruise to sail through ports on the Baltic Sea and thought we had found a good deal through NCL. How wrong we were. We thought this was going to be a great cruise but were sadly disappointed and now regret our next cruise with NCL. If we had known now how terrible the food and entertainment was going to be, we would not have booked our Alaskan cruise with NCL. The ...

OK, Could Be Better

Went on the Baltic cruise in June of 23 with two teenage grandsons. This was my third NCL cruise and 7th overall. There were several minor problems like a piece of luggage lost for 1 1/2 days, a long and disorganized wait for Teppanaki (food wasn't worth the wait), long lines at the buffet for lunches (main restaurants were closed for lunch), not being able to get a table at the buffet, bad food ...

Great ports, but tired ship and lack of service!

We usually sail with HAL, but the interesting NCL itinerary prompted us to pick Norwegian for the first time. It is safe to say that we will hurry back to HAL. Unlike HAL, where we were always made to feel like honored guests (even in the cheapest inside cabin), you were treated like an anonymous number on the Norwegian Dawn. At times, the service was not only indifferent but downright rude. Upon ...

Excellent Cruise, Beautiful European Cities in All of the Ports, Top-Notch Entertainment

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We felt a cruise would be a great way to visit the European cities along the Baltic Sea. We understood the Dawn to be an older ship, but found it well taken care of. The food (mostly buffet) was consistently very good at each meal. The staff (specifically our room steward) were very attentive in all of their interactions with those on board. Additionally, the entertainment was beyond what we ...

The Ship is Old and in need of updating

I love NCL and cruise several times a year. I was very disappointed on this sailing aboard The Dawn. I have 2 future cruises booked for NCL Dawn and will have to rethink these bookings. Embarking the ship was delayed because the computers went down. THIS is how the cruise began! There was a leak a few feet from our cabin door early in the cruise. Buckets were placed under the leaks to catch the ...

Overpriced and unapologetically geared to the US market.

This cruise was rescheduled from a Black Sea Cruise that was cancelled due to the war in Ukraine. This is the first time sailing with NCL and was expecting the experience to be top notch as it wasnt cheap. Sadly this wasnt the case. The itinerary was excellent with daily stops around the UK and Ireland and finishing in Copenhagen. The ship itself was also great. A smaller, older ship with none ...

Interesting ports but don't expect high quality food

Just finished ten day cruise with lots of interesting ports in England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Overall was very pleased with the coordination in the ports, only did one shore excursion (as the ones offered by Norwegian seemed ridiculously overpriced, even with the $50 discount per excursion I was offered) but did several great self-arranged walking tours in the major ports ...

We are having an amazing time on our cruise! Spent 2 days in London prior to cruise at Guardsmen Hotel near Buckingham Palace and really enjoyed it. Left on National Express due to train strike and got to Southampton around 11am and onboard by 12pm! Very smooth embarkation by NCL. Each port has been lovely with excursions at each, loved Blarney Castle and Giants Causeway. Bring layers!! Some days ...

I chose this trip and ship over a cheaper cruise because of the British Isles itinerary (I've always wanted to see Scotland) and dates that best suited my schedule. It was a last minute decision and I'm not a frequent cruiser, so I don't know all the tricks and tips that I see a lot of people use to book their trips and make the most of their money. When you just want to relax and go on vacation, ...

The worst customer service

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

I didn't choose this cruise. I went because of a cancellation. While most had booked 2 years earlier, I booked 4 months prior to sail. There wasn't any time to research and if I had, I would have declined. From the beginning it was chaotic at best. When I say nobody knows what they are doing, they really don't. We had to spend 4 days at sea because of icebergs. Yes, our safety was important but ...
