A Cruise to Nowhere but Still a Trip!

Review for a Cruise to Nowhere Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

So just a heads up - we won this cruise and it originally was supposed to go out to sea and then back. We were told that due to Port Laws it couldn’t do that but there is some question as to whether that was the fact or if the number of indivduals who requested day passes made it non-viable to go anywhere. At first we were not really impressed with this as we could not get off of the ship and ...

Room for improvement

We went on one of the 24 hour taster cruises, with two friends. Embarkation was somewhat disorganised, but not too slow. Our cabin, a junior suite, was ready on arrival. It appeared to be identical in size to our friends balcony cabin, but with an improved bathroom. The balcony cabin had a shower cubicle, the junior suite had a shower occupying the side of the bathroom with room for two (if ...

2 couples on a 2 day cruise booked from Hamburg - Southampton , £500 for inside , £1700 for haven paid. Allowed to board at midday in itinary , arrived at midday and should have got there by 11, we booked an inside as we always do and our friends booked a haven suite so we have a good perspective of both sides of the coin. It took our haven friends 10 minutes , us 90 minutes , both parties ...

First time ever on a liner

We tried this just to see what a cruise proper would be like but we have to say that we wont be rushing to book one anytime in the near future - certainly on a ship of this size!! Perhaps a smaller liner may suit us. Anyway, the embarkation procedure was fine, took quite a bit of time but you have to wait at an airport don't you?? Our cabin was lovely and the double bed in it was soon separated ...

I was travelling solo with a group from a German cruise website. This was my first (and likely last) NCL cruise. I decided to go on this cruise to meet some people I am chatting with on the cruise website and to find out if the big 3000+ passenger ships in general and NCL would be an alternative to choose from in the future. I have been on many cruises before with the biggest ship so far being the ...

GOOD: The Crew - met many crew-friends and experienced great dining experience The food (Breakfast Taste/Savor, Lunch Margaritaville, Snack O'Sheehan's, Dinner The Manhattan) was very good - especially the daily changing specials for breakfast. Food Republic was not my world since I do not like Fusion. I like Asian or Western but cannot deal with the mix of two. Sorry. Nice ...

This would be me and my husband's 8th cruise but first time sailing with Norweigan. I am going to start off by saying, I was not impressed. My husband liked it a little more than I did but not by much. The Good: Embarkation and Debarkation were the fastest we have ever experienced we were both on the ship at arrival and off the ship and through customs when we returned in less than 10 ...

Ocean Blue and onboard activities were great but poor service

We just returned from a 2-night sailing aboard the Breakaway this past weekend. Normally, my family prefers sailings with 7+ nights to really get to know the ship and the staff on board. We loved our first cruise with NCL in 2004, but each sailing has been getting progressively worse. It seems as if NCL is shifting its focus from passenger satisfaction to purely profit. After the absolutely ...

Cruise to Nowhere and I mean Nowhere

Review for a Cruise to Nowhere Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

This was my 2nd time on the Norwegian Breakaway. My first cruise was a 7 day cruise. We decided to take the Cruise to Nowhere, in hopes of a little getaway. The ship itself is a beautiful ship, and has many perks to it. However, this time I found myself somewhat bored. Possibly because it was a "Cruise to Nowhere." My biggest complaint of the trip was the route that the Captain took on this ...
