My husband and I got married in the courthouse swearing we would have a wedding eventually! Wellllll 3 years later we decided to use the money we were saving to go on a trip! We chose this journey across the atlantic and we are so happy we did we absolutely loved it! the only small negative is that the water was too rough to pull into ponta del gata so we were at sea for like 7 days straight. Not ...

I chose this cruise for the transatlantic itinerary. We did our first TA last year on a different line and loved it. We tried to book it a year out onboard a different NCL ship but it was sold out. Kept looking online and eventually snagged a guarantee minisuite. After final payment and closer to sailing, the prices dropped and we upgraded ourselves to a Haven spa minisuite. We couldn’t be happier ...

We chose this cruise because it ended in New Orleans, right across the lake from our home town of Slidell. We have never been to Europe and thought it would be a good opportunity to see our roots, and loved the idea of a transatlantic crossing. We flew on our own to Copenhagen two days early, and thank goodness we did because our flights got delayed due to weather and took many more hours ...

Great itinerary Copenhagen was beautiful and very walkable Embarkation- make sure your cab drops you at the right terminal ( 1 or 2 as stated on your ticket) Getting off at the ports of call is challenging at best. Not very organized for general exiting the ship. Shore excursions on the ship are way over priced for what you get. We went through TJ travel and had a lovely tour in ...

We have sailed with NCL before and feel that they give fair value for the money. They have always treated us with respect, and we find their food and entertainment to our satisfaction. We missed a port in the Azores due to weather conditions, but nobody other than God is to blame for that. It was more important to maintain the safety of those on board than cater to our desires. The transferring ...

Norwegian Getaway Baltic cruise - the good and not so good

Norwegian Getaway / Baltic cruise Oct 2019 very large ship with 4K+ passengers. Many balcony cabins up to deck 14. General comments the not so good... It’s a big ship but it’s hard to find comfortable chairs indoors where you can relax and get some peace and quiet for any length of time. On a Baltic cruise the weather wasn’t suitable for sitting outside. Games room was tiny and ...

We got this cruise at a great price which included 4 restaurant upgrades and the drinks package plus taxes and service charges. Embarkation and disembarkation were both excellent, quick and efficient. There was no hanging about. We sailed on 2 October and it hailstoned. Bring plenty of warm clothes on this trip, we could not go outside on deck as it was so cold. We got as far as Tallinn and it was ...

Started in Copenhagen lovely city but expensive This was my first ever cruise so don’t have much to compare it with the ship was big and felt very crowded, probably because most people were inside the weather was fine but cool. My cabin 9158 was nice small balcony with a lovely view the bathroom was good clean with a good shower the twice daily service was good and the cabin steward ...

We chose this cruise because it went to the Baltic. NCL is not different than carnival. The buffett is better on NCL but the dining room is better on Carnival. I was expecting NCL to wow me and it did not! Getting on was a breeze we weren't supposed to board till noon and we were on by noon. Getting off was really easy we put our luggage out the night before and it was ready by 7:30am to ...

I don't know if NCL has a staff that actually read these review but if they do, I have some suggestions that may or may not be supported by other passengers. Everyone's experience is different on a ship and everyone has different tastes and interests so read reviews objectively. The Good: Embarkation and disembarkation. 15 minutes to ...
