Chose this cruise to use up credit from cancelled cruise during Covid. Use it or lose it situation. This cruise was more expensive than the one that was cancelled.
The new terminal in Miami is beautiful but the embarkation was not well done at all. The number system was not successful at all with people crowding the door to get in before their number was called.
First of all the positive. ...
We chose this cruise for a couple of reasons - ports of call including the Panama Canal and second the price was amazing. NCL service is absolutely TOP NOTCH in all aspects of delivery. Everyone was polite, helpful, kind and courteous. The Jewel is a great ship - just the right size - not too big/not too small. The refurbishment is NICE. Ports of call included Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, ...
We arrived into Orlando from London Heathrow a day before the cruise departure. We didn't have any clue about the incoming hurricane Nicole. Its only when we switched on the local TV in the Orlando hotel we were staying at, that we found out that hurricane Nicole was going to make landfall in 2 days time.
Shortly after we got an email from NCL that the ship would leave 2 hours earlier the ...
The bulk of the itinerary was to visit the Southern Caribbean. I have never been. I also have never been to Galveston, TX before. The idea of new destinations appealed to me. I booked the first week bookings became available. The marketing described the ship as more space per passenger and a lower crew to passenger ratio. Both statements were accurate for the most part. In an effort to ...
We so looked forward to Prima. As massive NCL fans very loyal to the brand, we couldn't wait to get onboard. Our first impressions were..wow. the Penrose Atrium was so fresh and had that new car feeling. Our initial look over the ship was very positive. The stateroom (Balcony BC Cat) was beautiful, felt spacious and luxurious. The bathroom was also a delight. After our eleven night cruise we drew ...
Cabin #9172 Balcony
Sailed seven other Norwegian ships the Joy was my favorite until now.
Pros: Embarkation was quick no wait. Ship colors and décor reminds you of an upscale hotel . Cabin spacious for a balcony bathroom also very well laid out. Balcony chairs can lay flat nice.
8th floor broadwalk best concept and many places to sit in different arrangements nice. Buffet good never felt ...
We just returned from a 5 day itinerary on the Sky. She is a small ship. Very small. 5 days felt about a day too long and I can see why she is ideal for the 3-4 day cruises. Her refurbishment is A+. The ship is immaculate and the common area decor is sleek and modern. The service and crew were also excellent and we were extremely impressed with the impeccable service and friendliness. I'd compare ...
We have been on many cruises but this was our first on Norwegian. Also the first time that we had departed from Port Canaveral. We were joined on this cruise by our 5 year old granddaughter.....and her parents!
We had checked in online and been assigned a 10 AM time for the terminal and the process went relatively smoothly and we got on the ship by 11:45 and in the cabin by 1:00 and baggage ...
Good cabin balcony 13716 forward with longer walk to work off food. Good cabin steward kept the room clean, neat and was helpful with phone issue.. Entertainment was good, but limited number of shows. 3 shows on 2 nights for Burn the Floor. Savor had slow service several times. Food was good but did not compare to Escape in January this year. Private villa on island was great for large group ...
We are experienced cruisers with 16 cruisers under our belt. We aren't really loyal to any brand and have done Royal Caribbean, Carnival and NCL cruises over the last 29 years. We are a couple in our 50's and we like to be entertained, good food and nice ports.
Pre-Cruise - We flew from BWI to Orlando on Avelo Airlines. (Avelo Airlines was a huge mistake, all kinds of issues including being ...
