We wanted to cruise over Christmas to avoid all the stress of the holiday. The Norwegian Breakaway definitely accomplished this for us.
Overall, despite FIVE days of rain, we had an amazing time. The ship is huge and has endless things to do---classes, shows, spa, game-show style games, shopping, gyms, casino, bars...the list goes on and on.
The ship was very clean and the service was ...

Just got off the Prima on a Christmas 7-day cruise with my in-laws and my husband’s uncle. We did an 11-night on the Escape last Christmas, so we had high expectations on this newer ship. My reviews are mixed…
Note: we had to skip 2/4 ports due to weather and seas. Being a diver and an avid Below Deck watcher, I have no hate for the captain and ...
Embarkation was quick and painless!
Food quality as consistent, although MDR service was spotty at best.
Would like to see an expansion of craft beer offerings on board.
Live entertainment was exceptional! Enjoyed the comedian and the classic rock cover band.
We were scheduled to spend a day at GSC, but as I predicted, the inclement weather created unsafe tendering conditions, so ...
We were very disappointed with our cruise aboard the Norwegian Dawn. This isn't our first cruise with Norwegian, in fact we have sailed on this ship before, but after this cruise we will never sale with Norwegian again as they main focus seems to be profit and nothing else.
To begin with, when I booked, I paid for the dining and wifi package, but upon embarkement those add-ons had disappeared. ...
I will start this review with the caveat that we booked this cruise very late in the game and would not have booked the cabins we booked if others were available.
CONCLUSION: We were 38 hours delayed leaving. This was not NCL fault but left 1/3rd of the ship disgruntled and you could feel that vibe throughout the trip. Having said this, after 11 days I understand why Royal Caribbean did not ...
We chose this cruise for the holidays as a family of 8 and for the itinary.
Gem is a smaller ship and was ill equiped for a Xmas- NYE+ cruise. We never left the port of Manhattan for 2 days , one for "high waves" and the other because the NY Port Auth. said we couldn't. ( not sure that was true but I degress).
The ship was cold in NY, The heat was not up to the task. It was bitter ...
We chose this for a Holiday Cruise. We booked a penthouse suite room 12350. They ship was easy to get around. It says capacity of around 2,300 passengers. The ship had over 2,500. The ship is old. Our room had two balcany windows that had bad seals and the balcony door was extremely dfficult to open. The lock on the cabin door didn't work, one sink had a constant drip, and we reported ...
This was our 8th or 9th cruise, so not an expert but do have some experience. We didn't get off to a good start as I spent $249 on Priority Access (PA) which didn't actually exist. You are reading correctly, it was fraud and I am attempting to get my money back and have filed a complaint with Norwegian. We arrived to embark and asked for the PA line which is part of the description. It didn't ...
