Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Epic

Although I have done many cruises with different cruise companies, this was my first time with Norwegian Cruise Lines. It started off very poorly. It took us over 2 hours standing in line, with my partner who has mobility issues, to get registered for boarding. We had an issue with our beverage package which was not accepted although I showed them the paper work. Guest services was not very ...

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this ship after reading so many reviews, but during my time onboard I fell in love with this ship and wouldn’t hesitate to go on the Epic again. We boarded in Barcelona, and were met with long lines checking in at the terminal. While I found this a bit of a speed bump to the start of our cruise I didn’t let it bother me. Everyone was doing their best to get ...

An EPIC Fail

We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We have sailed Norwegian once before (The Jade). Our cruise started with a 1/2 hr line to drop off our luggage and then 2 1/2 hours in line to checkin. Luckily it was not a rainy day but it was hot. No adequate explanation- just blamed the port people. With 4100 passengers on board elevator access was often an issue. On disembarkation day there was over a 2 ...

We had never been to Spain so we chose this cruise. It did not disappoint. The weather the scenery the people were all amazing. The boat is older but if you are looking for excursions at every stop this will not disappoint you. Not a lot to do on the boat itself but the food is wonderful and the staff even better. We stayed in the owners suite and it was perfect. The butler Rey was over the top ...

This is our first time to go on the cruise and wasn’t disappointed. Other people commented the ship is too old but as for me, I think it is the upkeep is excellent. We stayed in Deck 4, room 4316, outside cabin. Cabin: good size for 2 people, cleaning services everyday Food: at the buffet, the food was a typical normal buffet but a lot of varieties. Ice cream was too soft because it ...

As this ship is going to be dry docked for renovations the excursion were top notch. This the second time we took this ship for a cruise within a year. Most of the shows were the same as last time which were OK. They could have had more late night game shows like they had last year , I am not sure if the cruise director had something to do with it but he was a new person and did not seem as ...

we were interested in seeing these ports, most of which we had never seen before, and it was a great experience travelling with dear friends once again. we had some issues on the flight to Barcelona, a gentleman passenger had a heart attack and we had to turn back to Heathrow in London which then kept us from making the rest of our connecting flights. Due to this delay, we were not able to ...

We like to compare Cruise compagnies. Barcelona we like. Embarkation in Barcelona was bad organised , 30 full Sun no shadow because they used only 1 Controller so ther were 4 other unused. The evening programs were great.(Shows) The Entry hygiene (Restaurants) was outstanding The Selfservice : eating was mayby good for USA citizen certainly not for us Belgian. Soup : not warm , less ...

We chose our cruise to Canary Islands through Wingbuddy Travel, on line, with free air fare, beverage package & gratuities. Everything went as promised, we didn’t have to pay anything extra! The NCL Spirit is a well run ship, our cabin with balcony was clean & Henry, our room Stewart, was friendly & pleasant. He kept our cabin neat & clean and looked after every detail. Complimentary dining at ...

This cruise itinerary - especially the Barcelona departure- was a main reason for choosing this cruise for my husband, daughter and me as well as my parents. As well, we had been on the Norwegian Escape and had loved it. We had read that the Spirit is a bit run down and we’re worried about that. It is true that the cabins need an upgrade however there have been extensive upgrades across the ship ...
