Enjoyable Repositioning Cruise Despite Missing 2 Ports

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

My husband and I booked this cruise over a year ago, particularly excited about the Prima being a new innovative, slightly smaller ship, bucking the current bigger-is-better trend in cruise ship builds. A transatlantic cruise would be a first for us, as well as our first visit to Iceland, including 3 ports - a day each in Akureyri, Isafjordur and an overnight in Reykjavik. Perhaps the biggest deal ...

Prima to Iceland Perfect Trip

Love cruising out of New York City. We are not loyal to any one cruise line and have cruised over 17 times. We booked an Inside cabin and was upgraded to a Balcony as our Inside room was next to a utility room that was very noisy during the evening hours. The staff was wonderful about addressing this problem. We received a tray of chocolates for the inconvenience also. The rooms were both ...

A repositioning cruise to Iceland really had us excited. We like and sail Norwegian more than the competition but we have enjoyed them all. It was a real plus to sail on the newest ship in the fleet. We were concerned about some of the unflattering reviews we saw, but we kept an open mind about it. I am just comparing this experience to the 25 +/- other cruises we have been on. Here is what ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

What a great itinerary and we loved sailing out of Boston. This was our least favorite food of any cruise we have been on. Dry, lacked flavor, cafeteria quality desserts in the MDR. It’s enough to deter us from NCL again. Service was great. Things were kept pretty clean throughout the ship except that public bathrooms could have used a little more attention. Entertainment was so-so. In ...

Boarding wasn't as easy as in the past, we got to the counter quickly but the person there was very confused. This annoyed the guys as they don't have my patience. She was obviously new as she did all our information multiple times, but was in the wrong screen each time, frustrating yes but she was trying very hard to get us on board. We planned this trip since 2019 but covid hit and it was ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Im just writing this to confirm everything said by terminallyconfused01. My biggest complaints were. 1.Swimming pool was not heated for 12 of the 14 days of the cruise. When it was finally heated on day 12 it was very pleasant for swimming in. 2. 2 of the 4 main hot tubs around the pool were colder than the other two. All seemed very cold during the atlantic crossing but this may have ...

WIhy did I chose this cruise? We like Norwegian, it has been our 5th cruise with NCL. We have been on Carnival, etc. Because of the location of cruising out of Boston to Bermuda it is the perfect cruise for us. Take a Lyft to the dock, ready to go. Some things have changed over the years, one is adding Maine to the itinerary. Although we have gone off ship in Maine,, we are shoulder ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and the price was right! Entertainment on the Breakaway is mostly OUTSTANDING - Six is not to be missed, Burn the Floor was outstanding, Velvet (Dinner Theater with an upcharge) I would give a mixed review - the show was mostly amazing - the meal was not amazing and felt rushed. Overall worth the upcharge but needs a little TLC. We love NCL and have ...

Breakaway—NYC to New England & Canada

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

We booked this cruise a year ago onboard the Jade in the Greek Islands—which was an amazing cruise to beautiful islands on a refurbished smaller ship with low occupancy. After I started reading reviews of the Breakaway combined with what seemed like full occupancy, I started to regret our choice. My fears turned out to be baseless. There were 3350 ppl on board, so about 80% occupancy. There ...
