Disappointing for the most part.

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Gem

First of all, Boston is not a great port. I would never sail out of there again. It was crowded and disorganized for embarkation. We were listed to register from11:30 to 12:00 which meant nothing. I would encourage others to register after 2:00 because the wait is long. The staff, for the most part were great. Our room attendant was super. The dining room staff worked very hard and seemed ...

Disappointed with my suite

Well I am Sapphire level on NCL. I have also cruised with many other lines but because of my level I typically pick NCL. This is the very first time in over 45 cruises in total that we did a suite. We had a forward facing balcony suite. The room was amazing until we read the sign “balcony only available when in port” and the other sign “curtains must be closed at night”. None of this was ...

Cruise Norwegian for the Itinerary, the rest is below par at best.

This was my 6th cruise. I've been on Carnival, NCL, HAL and RCL. This New England cruise has given me reason to take another look at the other lines again. Dining room service was slow and below average. Buffet was poor to say the least. The staff is clearly trying but they just don't have the numbers or materials to provide good food and service. I'm still trying to figure out how you can ...

Great Itinerary - Poor Solo Cruise Program

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Escape

This was my second cruise sailing as a solo cruiser on Norwegian, the previous one was in the Caribbean almost a year ago and I loved it. This cruise, not so much. This ship is almost identical but it did not have a lounge in the front of the ship which was disappointing. The four things that were really good about this cruise were: embarkation, the food, the crew, and the ports. That's it, ...

Not as expected

I went on this cruise with a group of friends. I usually get an inside cabin but this time, that was a mistake. The inside cabins were EXTREMELY small. There was minimal closet space for the two of us. There were no drawers in the dresser. Outlets were only at the dresser so we had to share instead of having one in the bathroom. We saw the cabin steward on the first day and never again. He ...

Loved the Cruise - Disappointed with the Joy

We chose this cruise for the itinerary as it included Newfoundland and Saguenay. Ports were all great. Loved the itinerary. We have completed over 20 cruises and this was our 5th on NCL. We have always enjoyed the entertainment and while the food has not always been the best at sea, we have always enjoyed the specialty restaurants and the main dining areas have been good to very good. We ...

Just too crowded

The food was mostly okay… the ship was over crowded and many guests couldn’t even see the shows due to not enough showing to accommodate all guests. We chose this cruise as it stopped in my husband’s home town of Cornerbrook NL. Of course this was our favorite stop on the cruise. The excursions were okay but not worth the costs. The excursion in Sydney consisted of a woman talking about how ...

Wouldn't sail on this ship again. The crew is not to blame, NCL is.

On this cruise, I learned that you get what you pay for! For the price that I paid as a solo traveller, the cruise was just barely OK, so in a way, I have to admit that it's nice that there are choices for bargain hunters, but personally, I will use more caution when booking a cruise in the future, as this cruise, food, ship and choice of activities did not meet my expectations. I am a rather ...

WAY too crowded

The ship was nice and the food was very good. Our stateroom was well laid out with a starboard balcony. The workers were super friendly. We enjoyed five of the six ports. The shows that we were able to get into were excellent, but there were nights when we had nothing to do because we couldn't get reservations and the bars were packed. I'm really going to write about what we didn't like ...

As we had to find an alternative to another canceled cruise - and had our heart set on this region - we decided to give NCL a chance. This was our 21st cruise, but our first with NCL - which we thought we could compare with MSC or Celebrity (and not with other luxury companies that we have also cruised with before). We knew a lot about the history of the ship and felt we had some idea of what we ...
