Terrific Ship, terrible food

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

Embarkation was smooth and orderly. We were taken to a location for a quick lunch before we were able to go to our rooms. Our cruise had lots of preplanned entertainment so that part was an incredible experience. The theater is truly amazing and everything we saw there was excellent. The sound, lights and comfort of the seats was exceptional. Our room (2 bedroom family room) was perfection. ...

NCL has slipped... and not in a good way

I chose this cruise because it left from my home port of Boston, and it was a 7 day cruise with 2.5 full days in Bermuda ...my happy place. The schedule was great.. arrive on sunday afternoon and leave at 7 am on Wednesday. Not to mention NCL historically has been my favorite line. I could complain about the weather.. it was too cold to be outside to enjoy the sail away party... and Saturday ...

WIhy did I chose this cruise? We like Norwegian, it has been our 5th cruise with NCL. We have been on Carnival, etc. Because of the location of cruising out of Boston to Bermuda it is the perfect cruise for us. Take a Lyft to the dock, ready to go. Some things have changed over the years, one is adding Maine to the itinerary. Although we have gone off ship in Maine,, we are shoulder ...

I usually read others posting and think the criticism is a bit much, but I could not help but report many issues that occurred while on our latest cruise to Bermuda from Boston. This cruise took place from November 4th to November 11th. Let me preface my following comments with the fact that my wife and I are dedicated cruisers with NCL having achieved Platinum Status and are Stock Shareholders in ...

Subcontract Fights!

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

We booked a cruise with NCL, also paid for them to book our flights, and paid for transport to and from the airport to ship. Our paperwork from NCL stated to fly from American Airlines. When in reality the airlines subcontracted it out to another airline .5 miles away! Total screw-up on NCL end! Cruse was ok, though the hot tub was only 98 degrees. Everything was extra, and you paid dearly for it. ...

We chose this cruise because of the allure of the ports planned for the cruise and the expectation of hitting the fall colors This cruise left Boston, up into Canada and back through two stops in Maine. Overall, an average cruise on an average ship. Here is a summary of the different components. Ship – The ship seemed to be of medium size. We were a little disappointed in the Atrium area, ...

Embarkation in Boston September 30, 2022 Went very smoothly ESPECIALLY as we were first cruise without pre-Covid Test requirement and ArriveCan requirement. Our check-in time was 10:00-10:30. Sail Away from Boston: Friday 9/30/22 We had our Roll Call Sail Away get together at 4-6 PM on ...

My friend and I took the Norwegian Pearl -to New England and Canada, departing from Boston on Sept 2. Boston Port was organized and we sat in sections for our boarding group. After check in at the muster station location, ate lunch at the Summer Palace. This was our main go to free sit down restaurant. It seemed bigger and more open then the other sit down restaurants. It was pretty empty ...

This was our 13th cruise and first with Norwegian. We are sold on the Freestyle cruising. Food was probably the best we've had on a cruise ship. We did dinner mainly in the Summer Palace. We did a couple specialty restaurants which were fine but the food in the dining rooms was also very good. Food availability seemed to be everywhere. Buffet was actually pretty good, however sometimes the food ...

Not The Best

We picked this cruise out of Boston for the Canada and Maine destinations and enjoyed all five ports. With regard to shore excursions, we especially enjoyed the Bar Harbor Epicurean Experience, the Sydney Pub tour was entertaining, and the Halifax Deluxe Hop on Hop Off was a good idea with some entry costs being included. However, we were very disappointed with the food. While the menus were ...
