We chose this cruise for my adult son. We haven't been on NCL since a disastrous cruise in 2008.
Embarkation was smooth. We were on the ship quickly. Headed to Summer Palace and had a very nice lunch while waiting for cabins to be open.
We were in cabin 101**, a handicapped accessible inside that was very nice. Our cabin steward was Jonathan. I thought I would like the once a day service ...
First of all the cruise staff was absolutely amazing during this recent cruise. Not a single complaint about NCL staff at all, they did an amazing job.
There's some negatives though:
-The ship seemed very short staff. Lines of 10-15 people waiting for a drink were not abnormal. The staff was all working their rears off to keep up, but without the right amount of help it was a long time ...
The ship was packed, I have never seen one so packed. Unfortunately the weather was not very good so the pool area was not as enjoyable and one day the weather cancelled all of my shore excursions. From the day after arrival in Bermuda, the weather was chilly until arriving in Boston for an unusually warm day, it did affect the enjoyment but that was God's will The food at the buffet was very ...
My wife and I wanted to travel to Bermuda, and we have relatives in Boston. I'll keep it short. Most things on board are pay as you go, except for the live entertainment and a few other minor exceptions. The repeated "health lectures" were virtually identical but with a variety of catchy themes (like "increase your metabolism"). I am a medical professional and I was more than perturbed by the ...
Embarkation was smooth and orderly. We were taken to a location for a quick lunch before we were able to go to our rooms.
Our cruise had lots of preplanned entertainment so that part was an incredible experience. The theater is truly amazing and everything we saw there was excellent. The sound, lights and comfort of the seats was exceptional.
Our room (2 bedroom family room) was perfection. ...
I usually read others posting and think the criticism is a bit much, but I could not help but report many issues that occurred while on our latest cruise to Bermuda from Boston. This cruise took place from November 4th to November 11th. Let me preface my following comments with the fact that my wife and I are dedicated cruisers with NCL having achieved Platinum Status and are Stock Shareholders in ...
We booked a cruise with NCL, also paid for them to book our flights, and paid for transport to and from the airport to ship. Our paperwork from NCL stated to fly from American Airlines. When in reality the airlines subcontracted it out to another airline .5 miles away! Total screw-up on NCL end! Cruse was ok, though the hot tub was only 98 degrees. Everything was extra, and you paid dearly for it. ...
We chose this cruise because of the allure of the ports planned for the cruise and the expectation of hitting the fall colors
This cruise left Boston, up into Canada and back through two stops in Maine. Overall, an average cruise on an average ship. Here is a summary of the different components.
Ship – The ship seemed to be of medium size. We were a little disappointed in the Atrium area, ...
We picked this cruise out of Boston for the Canada and Maine destinations and enjoyed all five ports. With regard to shore excursions, we especially enjoyed the Bar Harbor Epicurean Experience, the Sydney Pub tour was entertaining, and the Halifax Deluxe Hop on Hop Off was a good idea with some entry costs being included. However, we were very disappointed with the food. While the menus were ...
Getting onto the cruise took a little longer than expected as it was line after line between checking Negative covid results and Passports. The cruise ship staff was Amazing and always so cheerful and helpful. The lack of staff in the public dining facilities was obvious. Pre-covid there were many many staff members in the Summer Palace or Indigo to assist. We had a party of 10 and the staff ...
