chose to leave from NYC which worked out well parking was easy and a breeze right next to pier. In and out from the West Side Highway and not crowded whatsoever.
Had an interior suite two bedroom with virtual balcony. Space was very big and perfect for family of five with enough room for all three kids in one room and the extra living area for relaxing when needed.

Yes there are some flaws, but if you did not enjoy your cruise it’s probably your own fault.

I had read a few reviews of this trip after booking, but prior to sailing, so I did have some concerns as many were not favorable. I wanted to share my review as I thought this was a great trip. We sailed on Norwegian Joy becasue of it's reputation for great customer service. We had a wonderful time. The dining restaurants were beautiful and the food was exceptional. Booked this three days prior to sailing. Close to home, easy vacation. Have sailed NCL in past, love Bermuda and Bar Harbor. Overall, great trip. Ship a bit older but a good size, easy to move around. Entertainment clustered on decks 6 and 7, with decent live music, casino (gross and smoky).and a great tribute and comedy show. Enjoyed all.

We took a family of 4 from NYC to Bermuda on the Norwegian Joy. Overall, it was a great experience, but there were several negatives that took away from the experience. Here's what you should know:
* On the in-room TV, there are no free channels included. All movies are $10 per "purchase" but can only be played once.
* Poor tasting water unless you buy bottles.

I came because it is a family cruise from a convenient port. Staff were all attentive and polite. The cabin was as expected for an interior cabin. Service in the restaurants was wonderful and most of the meals were very good.
My main complaint is the premium unlimited Wi-Fi. I paid $179. It did not work for 3 days. When I complained I was given a refund for only one day. The internet manager ...

On May 14, 2023, my wife and I boarded the Norwegian Joy for a trip from Manhattan to Bermuda and back, with two nights docked at the Royal Naval Dockyard. The short of it is that the Joy is now our favorite ship and we loved the cruise to Bermuda (be sure to stay over 2 nights if you can). We recommend this cruise.
