Wonderful Cruise - Horrible Disembarktation

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

This is our third Norwegian cruise. We love the freestyle idea, but have never sailed on any other cruise line. This was our second trip to Bermuda on the Breakaway. The cruising experience is wonderful with Norwegian. Since this was our second on the Breakaway, we knew the ropes, what was where and what to expect. While I don't want this to sound negative, I want to be honest on what you may ...

Sailed same ship in 2013 I see a better improvement in attitude from the staff. Open areas but ventilation could be better by the cigar room and casino. Pretty good ship and never feels to crowded until last day. Many dining options one thing that kinda got me was the service charge for my 3 yr he eats off my plate and sleep in same bed 14 dollars extra a day seems little high. Guest services, ...

Disappointing

We chose Breakaway because the amenities being offered by the line plus those offered by our travel agent made it a great fit since we have been targeting Bermuda for a while. The ship itself is not laid out very well, but we knew this ahead of time having sailed on Getaway. Service, food, drinks and weather all met or exceeded expectations. Entertainment was definitely geared toward a ...

Too big for good customer service

Convenient time and location. Customer service seems to suffer in the larger ships. Public space is smaller than on the smaller ships. The wait staff is so busy they do not have enough time to be more than just pleasant. At times they were so busy they were just plain rude. The entertainment is very limited and I cannot believe how small the theater is. It is half the size of those on the ...

Too many children

Last minute good deal. We purposely choose after Labour Day believing that children would be in school. Apparently not the case. And also, parents seem to travel with the young ones. There were hundreds of children on this cruise. We had chosen a mini-suite, wrong choice. All around us were families jammed into the rooms with cots and cribs, little ones out on the balconies at 6:30am banking ...

Overcrowded, dirty, non-responsive staff

As a frequent (7x) NCL cruiser, I have always enjoyed freestyle cruising and the entertainment on NCL ships. You get none of this on the Breakaway. On all other ships when there were minor issues, staff was responsive - this was not my experience on the Breakaway. Lineups, overcrowding, misinformation, dirty, broken etc. I will not likely go on NCL again and would not recommend it based on this ...

Stress free and relaxing cruise with excellent food and drink

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Itinerary and departure port worked best for us. Recommendations from multiple people who love this cruise made the decision easier. Loved the cabin had sufficient room for three adults. Would have preferred shows that had more of a story to them but the dancing and singing was excellent. Overall enjoyed the ship. The dining and service were the highlights. We are not very interested in the pool ...

Our 9th Cruise and Only Bad Experience

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

A week off on a cruise is still a better week than being at work. All of our 8 other cruises were always amazing with only minor hiccups or inconveniences. However, we had several bad experiences on the Dawn. We had a family suite we were upgraded through the bidding process. We were extremely excited about being upgrade. We normally stay in the Haven areas or Suites but didn't have enough ...

NCL is its worst enemy. The corporation makes terrible decisions and expects the crew to take the heat. The new latitude program is a perfect example. The loyalty was paid off by taking our earned rewards away. Latitude members no longer can get mushrooms or onions on their steak at cagneys. Why.....because corporate NCL decided this should be cut. Latitude members beware of their newest ...
