We had a fantastic time on the Bermuda cruise! A psuedo booze cruise but very fun. Food was great and entertainment was pretty good as well. Bermuda was beautiful, beaches excellent! Not used to salt water pool but was ok. Julie and the comedy show were great! Highly reccomend! Washy washy happy happy was very fun and good, you have to know what I mean lol. The weather was fantastic as well never really saw any rain at all which was great. Did a catamaran tour and that was great also, learned about the rum swizzle! Free boat to St Georges from the Dockyard. Shops at the Dockyard were also pretty good for souveniers. Had a total of 16 people from two families on the trip and Veniatien and Aqua both accomodated after a long wait but gave us free champaigne while we waited. Overall a great time, crew and other guests wer great, and O'Sheehans was simply the best for late night drinks and food. Can't wait to go again. Read Less

This was really our 2nd cruise. 1st was the Disney. 3 days. I would say the service and the amount of things to do on The escape was superior to Disney. We enjoyed the food, entertainment and the overall friendly staff. Everyone goes out of there way to make you feel special. From the busers to the Executive Chef. We stayed in a family suite with bunk bed. Was very convenient. I’ve never spent less time in a room in my life. I am a pretty strict judge of things. You never see trash or a mess. Obviously the pools are a bit small to accommodate all those people. But the water park makes up for it. The ropes course was challenging yet fun. We saw a young girl faint on it. The staff was amazing. They got a standing o from the onlookers. I never once felt un safe. I wished they would have communicated a bit better on the bid for the upgrade. I probably would have just paid for more size. As far as Bermuda. Wow. 3 days is perfect. We tried 2 specialty restaurants. Food Republic. Sushi. Fantastic. A bit pricy. We also did Cucina. It was terrific, the kids loved the fresh baked bread. It rained for about 4 minutes our entire trip. It just happened to rain while we dined. We were covered but other guests were not so lucky. They went above and beyond, like the rain was our fault. The chef came out. Gave us dessert. Lots of families. Large groups. Went to an art auction won a bid. 12 weeks in an eternity to get your art. So that kinda stinks. Overall though it was a great vacation. Expensive. And the WiFi situation needs help. No way to communicate if you have to. When I go to high end resort I don’t want to be nickel and dimed for WiFi. Read Less

My husband and I chose to have our wedding at sea on the Norwegian Escape. This was the best decision we could have made. Prior to the cruise, the planning for the wedding with Royal Ocean Events was easy and seamless. My wedding coordinators communicated with me and with ship personnel in order to create a picture perfect wedding ceremony and experience. All aspects of the wedding were addressed, including; obtaining a legal at sea marriage license, directions for how to schedule hair and make-up appointments onboard, ceremony location and time, floral arrangements, photography preferences, music selections, cake choices and wedding dinner reservations. By the time we boarded the Escape, I was confident that my wedding was going to be flawless. Upon arrival at the ship in New York City, I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of embarkation. As Haven guests, we were directed to a waiting lounge where snacks and drinks were provided. In no time at all, our room cards were in our hands and we were escorted onto the ship and to the Haven lounge. The friendly concierge directed us to Margaritaville, where Haven guests were afforded a complimentary lunch on embarkation day. The volcano nachos were a huge hit at Margaritaville. We then proceeded to find our cabin. Our H6 Haven Aft Penthouse Suite, 11912, was already prepared for us and our luggage was waiting for us. I cannot say enough about this spacious suite! It had a good sized bedroom complete with a television and a comfortable king-sized bed. The master bathroom was roomy and light with floor to ceiling windows, a tub, large shower, two sinks and a private area for the toilet. In the living area, there was another bathroom, a table with four chairs, a refrigerator and Nespresso espresso machine, a sleeper sofa, and a television. The best part of our cabin was the expansive balcony. It had room for a table with four chairs, two lounge chairs and lots of extra space. The view of the ship’s wake was amazing! Our butler came to introduce himself and offered to have my wedding dress and my husband’s tuxedo steamed. That evening, we met with our wedding coordinator to review our plans and enjoyed beers in the District brewery. Our wedding was the following morning and it went off without a hitch. I had my hair styled and makeup applied in the salon at the spa. Both the hair stylist and makeup artist were friendly and responsive to my wishes. Our wedding was held in the Manhattan Room, where a red carpet led to a beautiful backdrop of flowers atop pillars. The captain of the ship, Giovanni Cutugno, performed our ceremony and he did a phenomenal job. He was very professional and friendly. We and our witnesses signed marriage documents at a table decorated with flowers and rose petals. The photographer captured the ceremony and also accompanied us to various settings on the ship to take wedding photos. Later that evening, we enjoyed our wedding dinner at Le Bistro. This was one of the most memorable meals of the cruise. Dinner was followed by our wedding cake cutting. The cake was so big that there was a lot left over, so it was brought to the kitchen, where our butler could access it later and serve it to us in our room. The remainder of the cruise and visit to Bermuda were our honeymoon. We sincerely enjoyed every second. The dining was top notch, we loved the entertainment, Bermuda and our shore excursions were amazing, and service was first rate. We dined quite a bit in the Haven restaurant, where we were greeted by name and the servers were cognizant of my food allergies after telling them about these on our first visit. The food in the Haven was decadent and kept us coming back for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. On two evenings we ate at Cagney’s and another dinner was at Teppanyaki. Both of these restaurants were exceptional in atmosphere, food and service. Other meals were eaten at O’Sheehan’s, Savor and the buffet. We were very satisfied at all of these restaurants. My favorite restaurants were the Haven Restaurant and Le Bistro. In between meals, we visited Starbucks often. The coffee was excellent, as were the cupcakes. The only show that we attended was the Brat Pack and it was very entertaining. I was impressed by the acting and singing. My favorite decade of music is the 1980s, so the music was right up my alley. I took two spin classes in the fitness center. They were challenging but accessible to riders of all levels. It was nice to fit in some good workouts with all of the exquisite food on the ship! The Haven pool and lounge were a nice break from the bustle of activity on the ship. While the other pool was crowded, the Haven pool had only a few people in it when we were there. We also relaxed on the Haven sundeck. I fell in love with Bermuda. What a beautiful destination! The pink sands and rock formations at Horseshoe Bay beach were breathtaking. Hamilton was a quaint area with plenty of interesting shops and sights to see. We went on a snorkeling excursion on a catamaran and had a great time in the water and on the catamaran. My favorite excursion was swimming with the dolphins. The dolphin trainers were very knowledgeable and willing to convey a wealth of information about dolphins in general as well as the personalities of the individual dolphins. We got our pictures taken with dolphins and got to participate in some dolphin training exercises. I even got to kiss a dolphin on the nose! I enjoyed the ability to explore Bermuda for almost three days. Our butler and room steward were responsive to our requests. Our butler brought special treats to our room daily and served us breakfast in our room on multiple occasions. We invited our wedding witnesses to our room for shrimp cocktail, served by our butler. Even though we were in the aft penthouse suite, far from the Haven proper, our butler was just a phone call away. The room steward was so friendly and she kept our room very tidy. She even left an animal, fashioned out of towels, on our bed nightly. Both the butler and room steward were courteous and respectful. Although I was sad to see our honeymoon come to a close, I was wowed by the smoothness of debarkation. We elected to carry our luggage off of the ship and were among the first passengers to leave. We were whisked through the gates and back on land in no time. I have beautiful memories of my wedding and honeymoon cruise. In fact, we will be returning to Bermuda aboard the Norwegian Encore for our second anniversary! Read Less

The ship was beautiful and the staff were exceptional. The level of customer services was outstanding every single day for every single event, meal and/or show. This was my first cruise but will certainly not be our last one. The ship was very clean and the cabin felt like a home away from home with the balcony it was very romantic as well. The food was out of this world and the variety allows you to dine at the same restaurant and still have a new experience every night. There are many different options for restaurants onboard with varies types of food. There was tons to experience on the ship with shows and events and you will never be bored. The water park experience was excellent with water slides, the drop zone, tube slides and of course wonderful pools. We are already planning our next cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line. Read Less

I loved the ship and the cabin. The ship is very big. Despite this, there is always room to sit somewhere inside. Outside, it can be harder to get a chair ... I suggest arriving early. The free restaurants were excellent. It was my first time in a cabin in Haven and I loved my experience. Only disappointment, the menu of the restaurant Haven is always the same and never changes ... I guess they want us to go to other restaurants too. The private pool and solarium of Haven are totally worth it. Quite uncrowded, plenty of room to sit, both outdoors and indoors and it's always quiet. The cabin was giant and beautiful with a huge balcony, a king bed and two bathrooms. I was traveling with five friends. There were four of us in the Haven room and one person had taken a cabin solo. This cabin was so beautiful and was not too small. After six cruises with NCL, I recommend the Escape. Read Less

We wanted a 7 day cruise to Bermuda from NY. Our first choice, Royal had only a 5 day cruise. We always felt Royal was a better cruise line than Norwegian. This cruise changed our minds. We loved the idea that the lights in the cabin turned on anbd off by using the key card. We loved that the air went off when the balcony door was opened. We loved the free style dining where we had so many dining options - so many complimentary dining rooms with such a wide range of time options. Our cabin steward, Junior, was excellent in so many ways. He secured and extension cord and distilled water for me to use for my CPAP machine. We were in Bermuda for 2 1/2 days and went on 3 excursions - a bus tour of the island, a catamaran swim and snorkel and a trip to Horseshoe beach. All were GREAT! WE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CRUISE AND THIS LINE TO ALL OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY. Read Less

My wife and I chose this cruise because we did the exact cruise on the Breakaway and we were enchanted with the Haven and the whole Norwegian and Bermuda experience. We loved it so much that we decided to take my daughter, son in law and three grand kids 10 12 and 16 for her birthday. The Escape is a beautiful ship which is kept immaculate by the hardworking crew. The food in the Garden Cafe was good and abundant at all times and the Hibachi and Brazilian specialty restaurants was very good and Cagney's just OK.The best restaurant on the ship is the Haven where it is five star food and service. The gracious staff accommodated the grand kids picky appetite and everyone enjoyed all the meals along with the phenomenal room service. I was on a personal mission to review all the bars and lounges on the ship at least once.I am not sure if I was at each one but all of the ones that were visited were unique and friendly with great service and ambiance. The Haven makes a very good cruise into a luxurious and beautiful experience where you will be treated as a valued and special guest. Read Less

We've been on this cruise many times and each time was excellent. The service was impeccable, the food was always perfectly done (we dined at the Venetian, Teppanyaki, Le Bistro, La Cucina and Cagney's, as well as the buffet and O'Sheehan's) and our cabin was more than adequate. Embarkation was a breeze (we are platinum and have early embarkation) and once on the ship we confirmed our dinner reservations and went to the buffet before it got too crowded. The food was plentiful with many choices. Our luggage was delivered before the muster drill so we were able to unpack and get organized right away. Our cabin steward Clockson introduced himself right away and took great care of us. He always had a smiling, upbeat manner and you could tell he loved his job. His towel animals were adorable. We had to make some last-minute changes to some dinner reservations and Lizzet (hostess at Cagney's) and Maricel (assistant Maitre D') were able to get us what we wanted. They were always friendly and smiling whenever we saw them. Our waitress in the Venetian, Noemie, was adorable and took good care of us. We wished her all the best at her up-coming marriage. One can't enter any of the dining rooms or buffet without being greeted by the "Happy Happy Washy Washy" folks who were a riot and made you want to get "washed". The greeter at the buffet was always laughing, upbeat and dancing as you went in. They were so entertaining and kept you laughing. We only saw one performance, Elements, which was fantastic. Bermuda is beautiful and we ate off the ship both nights we were there as we have friends there. The public transportation system is very efficient, and the beaches are just gorgeous. We would definitely recommend NCL and this cruise. We are sad the Dawn is leaving Boston after this season as we've been on her numerous times, but we've been promised that the Gem, which is replacing her, is just as nice. We can't wait to find out. The restaurants accommodated our large group in various sizes on different nights with outstanding food and beverages.. The cabins and stewards are awesome Overall many of the guests were first time cruisers and they had a great introduction to the world of Cruising the excursion for caves and waves and rising sun catamaran were a lot of fun It was great to see that straws have been removed to protect the environment and sea animals The evening entertainment (especially Element) rates #1 to a Las Vegas show... I highly recommend NCL and I will return for another cruise Read Less
