This was my second time on the Breakaway in less than a year. Once in August with my teenagers, this time with my boyfriend.
My hope was that the ship wouldn't be as crowded as last August and figured that the end of spring break season would help with this. The crowd was still large, just configured differently. Less children, more seniors.

This was the worst embarkation of any cruise I have ever been on. Boarding started at 11am and you had assigned times, but the lines were huge and the wait was in the bright sun on a very warm day in Miami. The Breakaway is a massive ship with tons of outdoor space to enjoy; and therein lies the problem when the weather is not good. We have cruised RCCL many, many times this was our first NCL cruise. We have also cruised Celebrity
Embarkation was ok. Delayed a bit but that was probably due to passengers not following directions

I chose this cruise based on past experience on Norwegian Breakaway. Arrival was poorly organized. Boarding delayed 1 hour past published start time, and the terminal was so crowded there was no place to sit ... passengers stood shoulder to shoulder being told to get out of the aisles, but there was no place to go. This was the 2nd cruise we had taken on Norwegian. We have cruised 2 other lines. Norwegian falls far below what I expect of a cruise. The bars were grossly understaffed, with a particularly long wait - 15 min or more - at the Topsiders bar by the pool.
