We choose this cruise for the great price and the ports of call. The Jade was ok but due for much needed updating. Our cabin 11593 was extremely small even for an inside cabin. We had the special dining package. Cagney's Steakhouse was great both times. I would avoid the Bistro and Italian restaurant if we did it again, they were just ok. We have taken two cruises on the NCL Breakaway in the Haven. Both times I came back raving about how great the Haven was, so my parents asked if I could take them on a cruise for their 62nd wedding anniversary in that "special part of the ship" that you like. EMBARKATION: Went without a hitch once we got to the port. NCL COMPLIMENTARY SHUTTLE from airport was a disaster! Small minibus whose driver drove a route that took us a very long 45 minutes to the port!!..we went thru a small tunnel that was being worked on ...we were held up in bumper to bumper traffic twice!!...we even when through the heart of Broadway!! We went with a group of 14. Overall, the cruise was fantastic. We got the ultimate beverage /meal package The beverage package was great...no slips to sign. You get cocktails/soda up to $15 per drink. Twice I got a martini and a nice glass of wine and we only paid the difference.

NYC – Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square (7 blocks from the cruise port). If you get a room on a high floor, facing 8th Ave you will be able to see the cruise ships from your room. Great diner across the street for breakfast.

Haven - Room 16710 Prior cruise on Escape 1/2016
Overall, we had a very good cruise. Got to the port and escorted to Haven waiting area with ease. We did our registration there, had a cup of coffee and was escorted up to the Haven by 11:15 am.
Ship is beautiful, clean and everyone is friendly. Very big, but has a small feel to it.

The excursions were excellent and worth the time and money.
The shows were excellent. Of particular note was the magic act by David Da Vinci. He was excellent! The thing that impressed me the most was his meet and greet session.
