This is my second NCL cruise but ninth cruise overall. My first NCL cruise was in 2012, and during the past ten years I have sailed on Carnival, Royal and Princess six times total. Wanted to go on a family cruise and heard good things about the Joy. The food was better than expected! We didn't make any of the shows because we were enjoying the entertainment pool side (especially the DJ's) and band's throughout the ship! This cruise was a mixed bag with some weird things mixed in.
NYC to Norfolk VA to Bermuda.
Weird thing #1. Stop in VA canceled because of some sort of whale thing in VA. I guess it's whale season, and they don't want cruise ships going thru...maybe.... We never got any explanation.

WIhy did I chose this cruise?
We like Norwegian, it has been our 5th cruise with NCL. We have been on Carnival, etc. Because of the location of cruising out of Boston to Bermuda it is the perfect cruise for us. Take a Lyft to the dock, ready to go.

Very smooth. The line seemed long at Manhattan Cruise Terminal. But it moved fast with minimal wait time. After check in, we were directed to our assembly station first. Overall we had a great time! The service was exceptional, the food was the best we have had on cruise in a long time, and the bartenders were awesome. Elements is a must-see show. Did not think the cruise was as good as when the Norwegian Excape cruised out of NYC. We did the Excape twice. However, the room was very nice and clean and the Steward was great.
