Great cruise out of New York harbor. Was fun to spend the day before in NYC as had not been there in a long time. Embarkation was easy and fast, pleasant staff at the port. The ship is very large and really pretty. We really liked our balcony room (Room 13212). True, the balcony was a bit smaller than on other ships, but fine for sitting out and relaxing. Great view of Manhattan, NJ and the ...
We chose this cruise because we love Bermuda and I don't like to fly. This was our 4th time on the Breakaway and the 3rd time in the Haven. Once you stay in the Haven it is hard to go back to a regular cabin. The Haven is a ship within a ship...You have your own Pool, Hot Tubs, Sundeck, Bar and Restaurant. Each time we ventured out to the Main Pool area we couldn't wait to get back to our ...
Had a wonderful trip in 2016 on the Norwegian Escape and did cruise next promotion that was offered during that sailing and were excited to see one of it's sister class ship's sailing to Bermuda which was on our cruise bucket list. We had the ultimate beverage package promotion and 4 specialty dining experiences as well. Cagney's and Teppanyaki were our two favorites. Mario was very ...
I have always wanted to travel to Bermuda and decided on this cruise. We stayed in the Haven Courtyard which was wonderful. I didn't use the pool or hot tubs, but really enjoyed the restaurant. We ate breakfast and lunch there daily and twice had amazing dinners. The hostess was absolutely the best, and Ivana at the Haven Lounge Bar was just the sweetest. I wanted watermelon vodka which they ...
Sailed August 27th. We had an aft facing cabin so our balcony was very large (2 chairs, 2 lounge chairs and a table). Room was fine. We had the beverage package and 3 night specialty dining. Both worth it! Would use the H2O area in the rear of the ship more if i go on this ship again -- it's for adults and less crowded than the pool area. The Waterfront area on deck 8 was outstanding. We ...
We were traveling as an extended family of 9 and booked three 2-bedroom-family-villas in the HAVEN at a very hefty price tag. As hardworking business owners, we expect and are accustomed to luxurious accommodations and service when we are finally able to take a vacation from work. This ship was a complete disappointment.
Accommodations: This 'villa' seemed like a basic cabin on steroids. The ...
We chose Norwegian after a friend recommended it as a higher end cruise from Royal Caribbean, who we have cruised on before. The boarding process was awful. We waited 2 hours in line, with no water or snacks for no apparent reason. Fortunately our room was ready when we finally got on the ship, we dropped off our stuff and went to eat. The buffet on Deck 15 was a zoo, needless to say. Our bags ...
The ship was nice and th buffet great but the service at all restaurants was very poor. Every meal took over two hours! Guest services gave out incorrect information and there were always lines to get help. Rooms are nice. Only two shows on a 7 day cruise. Comedy show was terrible but Rock of Ages was great.
In Bermuda the free ferry to St George's was very nice and made getting around cheaper ...
Arrival on ship was well organized. However, I can say that I am glad we got there early as the waiting area to get on the ship got crowded. They assign you a number 1-25 and they board you in that order basically. Except if you are in the Haven. I can honestly say that The Haven people are basically waited on hand and foot the entire time. This would be the benefit for paying twice the amount for ...
We chose this particular cruise because we spent our honeymoon (40 years ago) in Bermuda. This cruise went to Bermuda and docked there for 2 1/2 days, which gave us a chance to reminisce. We had never cruised with Norwegian previously. We were TOTALLY impressed with all aspects of the cruise from the time we left until the time we returned. Their customer service was superb, their stateroom ...
