First Time on This Size of Ship

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

My first experience with one of the larger ships was good but it felt like a floating city therefore it's hard to get to know your crew and fellow cruisers very well. I booked last minute and was traveling solo. Even though I booked last minute it ended up being very expensive for me as they didn't discount anything which was disappointing. With that said, I ended up paying for a balcony room ...

The trip was intended as a simple family getaway with minimal additional travel beyond the cruise itself since we live within an hour of the Boston port. Overall, the trip was good. Food was very acceptable in quality and of course quantity. As with most, if not all cruises, getting a chair on deck when it's sunny is a hassle because people go out at 6am and block off chairs with towels ...

very fun ship...lot to do with kids and adults...the entertainment was TOP NOTCH, and Bermuda is a great port...rooms were clean and nice...and the upgrades were very good. Only a few negative things to mention: 1) Out of Boston, and maybe this is the time of the year, there were a LOT of younger (18-22) kids getting hammered...that goes obviously with a lot of adults...it's not going to ruin ...

I chose this cruise because it leaves from Boston One extremely dissapointing feature was that we paid for the ultimate beverage package and despite the name ultimate, it does not include water!!! the staff were very friendly and nice. Food was OK. The Italian specialty restaurant was not as good as I would have liked The cabin was spacious and well stocked Getting around the ship ...

Family vacation from Boston so we wouldn't have to deal with flying to enjoy an island. Cruise ship was clean, and encourages staying clean - "washy washy, happy happy!" Was very glad I made reservations for our dinners before boarding. The only time we had a "glitch" was when they declared a Captain's Night so we had to rush back to our cabin to get changed into proper attire (no shorts!) to be ...

Our group was 8 total ranging in ages from 16 to 53. Chose this cruise because Bermuda was our destination and we could easily drive to the NYC pier. Parking easy and short walk to ship. Cost $280 for 7 nights. Onboard and eating lunch at buffet within an hour. Food at buffet delicious and great selection. Had breakfast and lunch there most days and never disappointed. Dinners we ate in ...

Enjoyable and relaxing cruise with the help of great weather

We chose this cruise because it sailed out of NYC and is pretty easy for us to take the train from Albany into the city.n Embarkation was as expected and not too bad as all the lines moved along at a pretty good pace. The ships layout doesn't make for leisurely and enjoyable walks around the ship, inside or outside. We felt like we were herded into the center of the ship on all three inside ...

this was our second cruise, we chose to leave outta NY, as we don't care to fly then cruise. checking in was easy, room was fine, the ship was Enormous!!! we just couldn't do it all!!! the Food variety, availably and taste was good, didn't get time to do specialty dining cause the wait was too long, then you'd miss a show or event!!! But the little Irish Pub was Awesome. Of course Ice Cream ...

My wife and 10 yo son sailed on the Breakaway last week. We picked this ship to avoid flying this time. We have sailed on Celebrity and Disney in the past, so we are familiar with many types of ships/cruises. Embarkation was, as many people described, a cattle shoot. But, we moved fairly quickly. Once on, we had lunch and moved about the ship, more on food later. Our cabin was ready at 01:30 as ...

Overall my boyfriend and I had a fun week away. We were very happy with the sanitation precautions throughout the entire ship, keeping everyone healthy and well. The buffet had a good variety of breakfast and lunch choices. We thought the entire cruise staff was friendly and hardworking. The two staff members that really made our trip even better was Rowener Corcega our statement steward and ...
