First off the staff and crew were amazing,super happy and friendly,most of the time singing.
Buffet was kind of flavourless first day scrambled eggs were not even cooked.
The fresh fruits were incredible would have been nice more selection.
Vegetarian options not the best,and not much seafood.
Came into some bad weather and told we would stay at see then return to port.

The ship was awesome. The food was amazing. We were in cabin and we discovered live bed bugs on day 2. We brought them to guest services and they confirmed this and took all our clothes to be cleaned and moved our room. Whilst some aspects of the haven experience were worthwhile many aspects were not. Balcony in a poor state of repair and dirty Sofa bed which is required if you book a suite for 4 was dirty and not fit for purpose.
No alternative available .
Facilities for 2 only despite paying for 3 this included life jackets! 2 cups shower gel ect only in main bathroom.

Nobody comes on here to write intentional negative reviews ( I hope) . As a cruiser of 30 vacations with different companies I feel I must comment on the short comings of the Prima. Sailed on the Prima from Barcelona on 20th November. We arrived at the airport after an early morning flight. Met the NCL reps and were asked to take a seat and wait for bus to take us to the Terminal. Let me start with my impression that Norwegian Prima is a stunning ship, looking at it from the outside, and as of Nov 2023 still has a new ship feeling with everything in pristine condition. The highlights in my opinion are the outside of deck 8, called Ocean Walk (aka promenade deck) and the staterooms (more about staterooms in that section).

We chose this transatlantic cruise because of its port intensive itinerary. The added attraction was that it was scheduled to only have 4 consecutive days at sea. We ended up having 6 days at sea because the ship was unable to dock in Ponta Delgado due to poor weather.

We were on the Breakaway in 2018 out of New Orleans. It was a beautiful ship with excellent, attentive service. So it was a tremendous disappointment to find her so rundown and most of the crew never smiling. The balcony cabin on Deck 14 was well worn. This is our 5th cruise on NCL in 2 years. Probably our last. In all of the previous cruises with NCL the dinning experience was different. This sailing sucked. 1 -At the pier, we were directed to the wrong line to begin check-in (not a good omen). There were 6 stations, where each NCL person had a paper printout of 2,000 people to flip through to find our names (oh,boy).
