Booked a 7day Bermuda cruise and was sent on a 7 day Canada & New England cruise on the day of departure due to Hurricane Florence. I am glad they chose to keep everyone safe but am shocked at what they chose for a contingency plan (since the Norwegian Escape sailing out of NY still went into the Caribbean).

We are just back from an amazing trip to Bermuda on the Escape. We were traveling with friends and it was a great time. Embarkation in NYC was terrific ! We arrived at the port at 10:45 and were onboard by 11:30. The ship was wonderful and other than the pool area and the atrium it never seemed overcrowded. It was my boyfriend and I’s first time on a cruise and since we live an hour from NYC I figured I’d give this a try. It was honestly the best time we have both had and was totally worth the money. Boarding the ship was easy and very fast. We were on the boat within 45 minutes of arriving at the port. Disembarkation in Bermuda and back in NYC was also very smooth.

Well the worst thing about this cruise was how many people they pack on the ship. Forget swimming, getting in the hot tub, or getting a lounge chair unless you were outside by 7am.

This was my first cruise and I should have done more research before booking. It seems that the cruise life is for the elderly since 80% of the passengers were elderly.
