I had not sailed NCL in awhile and the NCL Pearl was a delight. Medium size ship with about 2,000 passengers. The ship was well appointed and clean. The crew could not have been more friendly and professional.
Meals in the main dining room (there are two), were very good. We especially liked the Summer Palace dining room and once we found it, we used it exclusively for ...
Before I booked I read all the reviews and watched a bunch of youtube videos of the ship and I knew exactly what I was getting into. I truly do not understand all the negative reviews here. We had a normal balcony stateroom for reference.
Embarkation and Disembarkation were exactly how you would expect. It takes time to put 4,000 people on a ship. It was probably 2 hours total from start ...
I had the pleasure of embarking on a 7-day cruise aboard the Norwegian Prima, sailing from New York City to Bermuda and back. Overall, the experience was delightful and unique compared to other cruises I have taken, and I can't wait to sail on this ship again.
Cabin: I stayed in a mid-ship balcony cabin on the 13th level, which turned out to be the best cabin I have ever stayed in. It was ...
We booked a long and fun transatlantic. The ports were on our bucket list (Ibiza, Azores, Madeira) and the timing was right. This is the first NCL megaship and we hoped for a lot of dancing opportunities aboard. A review of available daily programs was mixed. But once aboard it was all good. The hub for us was the Manhattan Room. They have a good sized dance floor and small orchestra each ...
The cruise was excellent. The food was amazing in all complimentary restaurants. Water, iced tea, lemonade, fruit punch, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were all included. Our cabin steward Supardi was great - all the staff were so helpful. I have only a few complaints: 1) We really loved the Seaside Duo, they were phenomenal and we tried to catch every show. They performend in the atrium mostly ...
I want to start this review off by saying that we were incredibly happy with the service onboard. The crew always stopped to talk or say hi, and always made guests feel comfortable. Personally, my favorite part was our room Steward Iris. She was so kind and made sure to take care of us through the entire time of our vacation. She always stopped to talk or answer a question. The shows and ...
We chose this cruise because of the convenience of embarking from NYC, visiting fantastic European ports and being well within our budget. Crossing the Atlantic was not as rough as we expected because when we crossed in 2015, we had to hold the railings as we walked. Probably because we wore those patches for dizziness no one got seasick in my group.
The entertainment on the NCL Breakaway was ...
Went on my first transatlantic cruise last year on Island Princess. Loved the stops, hated the ship, and it’s pretty much non-existent entertainment. Knowing that NCL doesn’t skimp on entertainment, decided to give it a try. Happy to report, Breakaway did not disappoint! So much to do on this ship! The musical Six, Burn the Floor, Multi-Instrumentalist, OceanFest, Vocalist, Magician in the main ...
Wanted to travel to Bermuda and try out the Prima. Overall , it is a very nice ship with a upscale feel. Only got turned around a few times , but the layout was easy to master after a few days. The key is to travel on your stateroom deck to the proper elevator bank then go up/down. The cruise had about 3600 with 700 kids so it was pretty full, but no problem finding an elevator with minimal wait ...
I kept a journal during the cruise and highlighted all of the details of each day. Easiest way to share my experience! We chose Prima because it departed from New York City, which is close to our home. I traveled with my husband, John, and my daughters, Bev (15 years old) and Kyra (13 years old).

Woke up to a very rocky boat! Had room service, which arrived at 7 am (time zone change ...
