As first time cruisers in our early 50's, we thoroughly enjoyed so much about our trip from NYC to Bermuda. We experienced incredible cuisine and desserts in comfy, posh restaurants, and loved the various activities and shows in the atrium, especially when they were shown on "Norwegian TV". Greatly enjoyed the shows such as Cirque Jungle and Dinner show, Rock of Ages and Wine Lovers Musical. ...

had never sailed on a ship this large before. learned a few tips though. get to the cruise terminal early. my wife and i got there at 10am and were thru check-in by 10:20. getting there early also gets you a lower boarding number. we got #1 boarded quickly with no issues. we booked a mini suite w/balcony. really nice room. large bathroom plenty of space all around your id card controls the ...

Only really ideal for families; lacks sophistication in many ways.

Our first Cruise was on the NCL Jade a year ago. We loved it so much we wanted to repeat the experience. We found an exciting cruise starting from New York which meant we could have a 3 night stop in the city first then on to Bermuda. We chose the NCL Breakaway. We found the ship had a disjointed layout that was very confusing. The pool is way too small for the numbers of travellers. There ...

Family of 16, all older adults, booked on this ship because we wanted to go to Bermuda and NY City easy to sail from. Some of us were first timers and some have 34 or more cruise experiences. First time for all us on a Norwegian ship. Boarding was crowded and confusing. Two members of our party use wheel chair and motorized scooter which did help us get into shorter lines. Two ships were loading at ...

Breakaway beautiful ship décor. Big too many people honestly. Our rooms clean small closets small draw space. large bathrooms. Bed skirt on the bottom of our bed torn shameful. Ship only 3 years old. Breakaway three free dining rooms not much free food choices. on menus traveled on other cruise lines with family friends only pay for specialty restaurants only. Shocked by this NCL Breakaway. ...

This trip was the 4th trip my wife and I have taken with NCL and by far our least favorite ship. Had it not been for the destination (Bermuda), the friends we were with, and the fact that we renewed out vows for our 25th anniversary the trip would have been a bust. Until this trip we have sailed the Jewel class ships and had a blast. It's as if the Breakaway is to large. The ship itself is very ...

This was a first time cruise for myself, husband and college age daughter. We sailed from NYC Manhattan. The embarkation was very simple and smooth (we arrived a bit late so we missed the large crowds). A few weeks prior to sailing we upgraded from a guaranteed balcony to the spa level balcony on the 14th floor plus a drink package for myself & my husband. The Spa level cabin included access to ...

The Main reason I decided to book this cruise was (2) main factors. (1) I wanted to go to Bermuda. (2) I wanted to cross the Atlantic in a very large Ship. Having sailed on over 36 cruises, this was one of my favorite destionations! I was also very impressed with NCL. I've ever sailed on NCL before, but I was overrwhelmed by the Ship as well as all that NCL had to offer. I loved Free Style ...

This was my second cruise with NCL. I went in May 2015 also. The embarkation took a very long time. My dad is disabled and had to wait over an hour for a wheelchair. When we finally got on the ship, we had a bite to eat and went to our rooms. I was on Deck 12 and was very happy with the friendly steward assigned to our room. The cabin was the same cabin we stated in last year. Room was big ...

I cruised last year on the Norwegian Breakaway to Bermuda and had a wonderful time. The NYC themed ship has everything that you would need to breakaway and enjoy some good "night out" time. We had such a good time that we decided to rebook again and bring some more friends with us. Just got back again and we were a total of 16 people traveling and 9 of them were children. Unfortunately this ...
