More bad than good

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Nobody comes on here to write intentional negative reviews ( I hope) . As a cruiser of 30 vacations with different companies I feel I must comment on the short comings of the Prima. Beautiful new ship , great cabins, really good food, ( post covid this is not true of all cruise lines!) But the design of the ship is extremely poor, from the lack of seating on all public decks - observation lounge, ...

Embarkation Nightmare

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Sailed on the Prima from Barcelona on 20th November. We arrived at the airport after an early morning flight. Met the NCL reps and were asked to take a seat and wait for bus to take us to the Terminal. The reps seemed to want to have a full bus before departing, hence a wait of nearly 2 hours before we departed. On arrival at the Terminal we were greeted with horrendous queues to enter Terminal ...

When I go on a cruise, I expect a ship feeling like a ship, not like a hotel

Let me start with my impression that Norwegian Prima is a stunning ship, looking at it from the outside, and as of Nov 2023 still has a new ship feeling with everything in pristine condition. The highlights in my opinion are the outside of deck 8, called Ocean Walk (aka promenade deck) and the staterooms (more about staterooms in that section). On Ocean Walk, you actually can walk all the way ...

We selected this cruise for the itinerary and sailing date. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and we are a very active early 60 year old couple. I upgraded to an upper class balcony cabin, it's located just ahead of the rear stairwell. I mention this because in this ship that's the worst location we could have gotten. The main issue is the constant vibration while the ship is under ...

Dirty ship, rude staff and horrible excursions

We unfortunately thought this was a newer larger boat. Instead it’s outdated, small and dirty. The excursions we purchased through the cruise line were so bad but the tours we purchased off the boat at a fraction of the cost were excellent. They now charge you additional taxes for every drink you have using your prepaid unlimited beverage package and $20/day per person for staff gratuities. I ...

Great Trip with a Poor Ship

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

This cruise was chosen for the itinerary which was as great as expected. But the weird ship design and cost cutting by NCL took away from it all. NCL is just cutting too many corners. Hard working staff members did an admirable job of keeping everything ship shape but there were no extra touches. Staff members all seemed a bit over worked. This impacted service. Food qualify was also not quite ...

Where do I begin?? - Pools are all hot. Told by asst director Danny, that they are maintained at 32C/90F when tested on board the temperature was 36.5C/97F. These are hot tubs!!! A summer Mediterranean cruise where we had no place at all to cool off while on board the Epic. Absolutely no shade and hot tubs. If that is what you call relaxing, well good for you. I would tell staff and they would ...

Amazing Itinerary on an average ship

This ship is dated no promenade, no new updates. The rooms are small and uncomfortable with little room to store clothing for a10 day cruise. The pools on the ship are small and extremely crowded. There is a The pools on the ship are small and extremely crowded. There is an area towards the back of the ship for adults only which looks like a small pond without a covered area. For an adult only ...

Decent cruise, nice ports and entertainment but………

I chose this cruise because of the ports. Italy, France and Spain… can’t beat that. Checked in with no real issues but my friend’s luggage wasn’t delivered to our room. We reported it and then after 8pm I started looking around on our floor for it and I found it in front of any another room because the person that wrote the room number didn’t write it clearly so it was delivered to the wrong room. ...
