Beautiful ship

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

The Bouquets...the ship, recently refurbished is beautiful with old style decor, wood panelling and some very grand public and dining areas. Our ocean view stateroom was comfortable, bright and more spacious than expected. Food was excellent, absolutely superb in Cagneys, Le Bistro and Teppanyaki. Service was excellent too, fast, efficient and delivered with lots of smiles. The shore ...

NCL Spirit - for cruisers who love smaller ships only

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

The Spirit is a SMALL ship. We have come to expect certain features and restaurants on NCL - we never checked in advance, but now we know. There is no OL'Sheehan's or Local, however they have the Blue Lagoon. This was the absolute worst 24 dining experience we've had on NCL. The location is terrible (right in the center of deck 5 walkway, lots of traffic stairs and gross people walking by while ...

Great set of ports, slightly limited ship

The cruise took in a number of ports I wanted to see - Gibraltar, Malta and Cartagena. The stops were excellent, although with 10 ports in 11 days another sea day to relax would have been welcome. The Spirit herself was clean and in excellent condition - you would never know how old she is. She has two features which stand out - the raffles terrace overlooking the back of the ship which gives ...

Fantastic Itinerary

Fabulous itinerary. Booked the cruise because Rock of Gibraltar topped my husband's bucket list. Gib didn't disappoint with great homegrown guide Tommy of Inside-Our Rock Tours delivering the goods. My fave turned out to be Malta. Lounging on our balcony and cruising into port that morning at sunrise was akin to drifting into a dreamlike movie set. Unforgettable! Smooth, timely embarkation ...

Loved my first cruise on the Spirit

The Spirit looked good to me as was a beautiful looking ship and not too big and had a great itinerary so we booked it up. Yes, she is getting old but we had a great time. This was partly down to the amazing crew, waiters were brilliant, steward was great. We met some great people too Australians (everyone was a pleasure to meet), Canadians, South Africans, New Zealanders, fellow Brits, ...

Great ports, okay ship

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

I choose this cruise specially for the itinerary. I loved the ports and spend the majority of time off the ship. This was my first Norwegian cruise and know it is an older ship so I expected the small issues like the toilet threatening to overflow, and lights burning out. However I was greatly disappointed by the food on the cruise. We were informed the first day in the dining room that ...

Splendid time on the Spirit

We just completed our 10 day cruise around the Canary Islands, Madiera, and Spain and had a great time. Barcelona is a great port to leave from. It is much less expensive than Venice and flights are inexpensive, and great accommodations are plentiful. Accessing the ship is easy either by taxi, or by taking the metro to Drassanes and then taking the Port bus to the ship. The cost of the ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and weren't disappointed! The ports were great and overall experience very enjoyable as the ship was spotless, staff exceptionally friendly and helpful and food in all restaurants, except Shogun, sublime. Embarkation and disembarkation were both speedy and smooth. We had a very unfortunate experience with a guest jumping overboard and were out at sea ...

The Spirit is just the right size for us. Public areas, bars, pubs, dining venues, all were very tastefully decorated and inviting. The ship was comfortable and easy to navigate. Henry’s Pub was our favourite evening entertainment as Pablo was an excellent guitarist - he really nails Santana and Dire Straits! Elements finale show was excellent! The magicians and Jacka and Maria were highly ...
