We took the Western Mediterranean Cruise on Epic, upon our friend's suggestion and it was great! 10 days are perfect for a cruise time and to see so many interesting towns! Great service on board provided by the staff. Next cruise we want to experience the Eastern Mediterranean one since we heard Croatia and Greece are worth stops. The food was great at the Manhattan where we had dinner! Buffet ...

Some good points, some not so good..

This cruise was booked at 2Wks notice, so no prior planning or in depth research on the Cruise Line or the Ship, first time with both. We had a “Mini-Suite”, really a glorified balcony. Layout, really quirky, as everyone tends to say about the cabin. A real lack of power sockets.. and you have to hunt them down. 2 in the whole cabin area. Food and staff on the ship, no problem at all, we ...

Simply the worst

NCL canceled Sardina, spent 2 days at Florence port which does not allow for liqour to be served. Food was disgusting and cheap, employees seemed crabby and overworked, entertainment was limitted and poor quality. Passengers appeared to cough more frequently as cruise went on, then we returned home tested covid positive. Breakfast at all restaurants was served cold and of poor quality, eggs over ...

Worst cruise ever

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

Sailed previously on NCL Encore to Alaska, and it was fabulous. The Epic, however needs to be dry docked - or sunk. The service was terrible. The food in most instances was deplorable. The cabins are very uncomfortable; barely any water pressure in the shower. Most of the entertainment previously advertised did not exist, Pricilla Queen of the Desert was not offered. The Beatles only played ...

Fourth Cruise and this one was the worst In no particular order: First 2 days main restaurants couldn't provide many items that were on their Menu including Wine, half of the Desserts, no Mushrooms on one of the Steaks (ran out?). Also only had 1/2 Bottle of one of the Wines listed On first Day Cabin Houskeeping Guy advised us to not expect much or call him late in Day because he was very ...

A nice ship but not on full capacity

We decided to repeat on the Epic as our first experience last September was great and it went to places we hadn't been before, but this one was not so great. The embarking process was chaotic, infuriating, stressful and disheartening; we waited over an hour to leave our luggage, and another 40-45 min to get to the counter to get the keycards (we had done the online check-in but it didn't show in ...

Disappointment

I cruised many times before but first time with Norwegian and it was not good experience. Food: - Garden Cafe buffet was way below average and mostly asian cuisine. Only soup made for your request was delicious. - O' Sheehan's Bar& Grill had very limited choices of food the same below of average quality - Special dining in Le Bistro was satisfactory. Ginza was just ok. - Versailles ...

Disappointing Transatlantic Crossing

I chose this cruise because the were only 4 consecutive sea days. As soon as I booked it the itinerary change to 5 sea days. 3 days into the cruise it was changed to 6 consecutive days at sea. I understand things like weather come into play. You accept that when you book. You also expect that when you add days the cruise line would have some sort of activities to make up for the lost ports. This ...

Perfect balance of cruise length and destinations

Our first cruise post-covid and most definitely worth the wait! We were originally a little concerned at the size of the Epic, as we were used to the smaller South Pacific sized ships, but we never felt overwhelmed by the numbers and I believe that the cruise was at around 80% capacity. The Epic is well laid out for eating with the majority of the table restaurants at the rear and the buffet ...

Trip of a Lifetime

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

For starters, this was my 15th cruise overall and fifth with NCL. This trip was three years in the making. We had to cancel our original 7-night cruise out of Venice due to COVID. We chose this itinerary because of the great ports. 11 nights Barcelona to Rome with stops in Cannes, France, Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Naples, Messina, Sicily, Kotor, Montenegro and Greece (Corfu, Santorini, Athens and ...
