We boarded the cruise from Athens. We stayed in Athens for 2 nights before the cruise. We took the second guest free air option - which in retro was a mistake. Both the flights had stop over and would not have travelled in either airlines ( Lufthansa/Air France) if I was booking myself. I was hoping that from JFK we would have a chance to get direct flight to Athens - no joy. Also we had to seat ...
We loved the crew, the cabin, the dining and drink options. The dining was very tasty and many options were available. The crew was super friendly and always willing to help. The bad side, the organisation was a mess, Venice port was cancelled and we had to make 2 queues for 2hours to try to get buses to Venice and when we arrived to the counter they were fully booked. No information was provided ...
We did the 9 day Mediterranean cruise leaving Athens and debarking in Ravenna Italy. Ports of call were : Santorini, Mykonos, Zakynthos, Corfu, Kotor Montenegro, Dubrovnik Croatia, Zadar Croatia and Venice Italy. There was mistake after mistake made even before we got on the ship. Our itinerary said that we would be debarking in Venice(Ravenna) Italy at the end of the cruise. I called NCL to ask ...
The ship is older and has been remodeled but old stuff can still be found. Nice room and roomy bathroom.
The itinerary was changed eliminating Romania and Bulgaria stops. They substituted Volos and Heraklion instead which were ok stops with nice culture and great people.
We would not continue and considered canceling, but we hung on due to friends.
Foods were acceptable in the dining ...
This was my cruise #4 with NCL. The only other line I used was Carnival. In general, the NCL ships don't have the WOW feeling like Carnival does, but that bothers me the least.
My last cruise was in 2018 and I got two vouchers to use for future cruises. I knew the line would be cutting corners due to rising costs, and it certainly was happening big time, but often it was done in a weird ...
We have just experienced six weeks cruising on the NCL Star chosen for the itinerary. The refurbished ship is basic, clean. and most staff are friendly. Staterooms are about 1/2 the size of a standard hotel room; comfortable with basic amenities, but not very soundproof. Hopefully your neighbours on all four sides are respectful and considerate of others. The Bliss Lounge is now dark without ...
This was our 6th cruise with Norwegian out of a total of 22 cruises. We chose this cruise mainly for the passage of the suez canal.
On the first day no welcome talk from the captain. Next days just a few times the weather forcast and position of the ship. (not every day!). Also the last day not a word of thanks. Have never seen the captain nor staff captain. They seem to forget that they are ...
Great experience on the NCL Jade, so we thought we’d try this one.
The Positives - The rooms are fantastic, best standard room I’ve been stayed in. The bathrooms are spacious and very nice. Embarkation was also top notch.
Staff - They are trying very hard, there are just either not enough of them or they are unprepared to handle the number of passengers (referring to dinning and ...
We have cruised many times on multiple cruise lines but this was our first with NCL, and probably our last.
Major deficiencies in communication on this vessel/ cruise line have already been covered by other reviews. We had a 10.30 arrival time for departure confirmed but this made no difference. Numbered cards for priority were handed out as people arrived. The boarding procedure was ...
About the Reviewer: I’m a middle-aged American male who traveled sort of solo this trip. This was my 30th Norwegian Cruise Line voyage and my 53rd cruise overall. I have sailed primarily on NCL with a handful of cruises with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, MSC and Carnival. This was my sixth cruise back after the pandemic restart and my third back with Norwegian Cruise Line. I had just come from a ...
