Great time on the Jewel

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

I have always wanted to go to Alaska and my husband wanted to go to Japan, so on this cruise we got to do a bit of both! Boarded in Yokohama Japan. We stayed at Sotetsu Fresca Inn Sakuragi-cho in Yokohama. This was fine and we were able to walk to the port from here - although was a good 25 minute walk. Embarkation was a little unorganised and long, but we were also quite early! Once on board, ...

Overall an magnificent experience on this cruise ship. We loved their services, dining, and entertainment. The Norwegian staffs has great customer services skills, prompt, and did an excellent job on the ship. We loved their food selection from dining rooms, to the Garden Buffet. If this is your first time on this ship, please take advantage of the Go Kart racing, laser tag, evening ...

Typical cruise....which means fantastic

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

Been on 30+ cruises...the wife and I are in agreement that if we start whining and complaining about a cruise, it may be a sign that cruising is no longer for us. I understand hiccups in any vacation, but am of the philosophy that 'you get out what you put in'. That being said, if you're looking for someone to tear-apart/nit-pick/etc, look elsewhere....when you're provided constant ...

Lovely ship, fabulous Alaska

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Joy

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

My first cruise, so I have no frame of reference for comparison to other ships or cruise lines. The NCL Joy is a lovely big ship, which is spacious and modern. Everything seemed new as it had just come out of dry dock. Lots of fun things to do for older kids/teenagers such as go-karts, laser tag, and galaxzy pavilion (can’t really comment on these as I didn’t use them as they don’t interest me), ...

Norwegian Bliss is appropriately named

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

Our first time on a very large ship, previous cruises have always been on ships with less that 2000. While there were 4000 on this ship it seemed less crowded most times than a medium size vessel. We found some of the staff less than enthusiastic to provide more than the basic help, that tended to be more the exception than the rule and was really only in a couple of the bars. The room ...

Great cruise with granddaughter!

We enjoyed taking our 10 year old granddaughter on this cruise. It was a no-brainer as she lives in San Pedro and we live in Seattle. Fun to cruise the coast and end in Vancouver followed by a train ride home to Seattle. My wife and I enjoyed sharing with her the cruise vacation lifestyle we love. She enjoyed the freedom of the Splash Academy but also hanging out with Grammy and Papi. She made ...

Staff, most were great, but the people working in the buffet area that cleaned the tables sucked! They would just walk past the tables and not even attempt to clean them off. Most time we had to sit at a dirty table and if your lucky they would come clean it off. Food was good in the buffet, but better in the outdoor cafe and the staff were better at cleaning up maybe because it was outside. ...

I chose this cruise due to the itinerary as coming from Europe and having family in Vancouver meant I could visit them before heading off on our adventure. Big NCL fan and happy to be trying Bliss it was very exciting to see it in Vancouver port. Boarding process was very smooth and easy and as the cruise had come empty from Seattle the day before very nice to have our cabin ready and waiting ...

Seeing Alaska was my lifelong dream . Thanks to Norwegian Cruise Lines that dream came true ! They took care of everything ! The booked the cruise ,giving me the room I wanted plus booked our airline trips to Seattle and back home. We were picked up at the airport and taken to ship for embarkation . Going through embarkation was really easy , as they had already informed me of what I could bring ...

The Haven on the Bliss wowed us

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

Being big fans of NCL's Breakaway and its Haven, we were really excited to try the Bliss. The short-ish (5 night) southbound West Coast itinerary was intriguing, too; as experienced cruisers, we've done the Caribbean, Alaska, Canada, and a little bit of Europe, too, so this was new to us, and perfect: embark in Vancouver; Victoria, BC the next day; then a sea day; San Francisco the next day; ...
