I had always wanted to return to South Africa since living there as a child. For our retirement we planned a dream vacation that began in Cape Town, picked up the NCL Dawn for a 12 night cruise and should have culminated in a 4 day stay in Mauritius, but as a result of the authorities suspecting a cholera outbreak on board we missed out on our Mauritius stay.

Left out of Miami, easy boarding. Headed right to the bar and started making our way around the ship. It’s a good size ship with many bars and food options. We loved the Jade and the cruise. We sailed on the Jade years ago before it was redesigned. The Jade’s balcony staterooms are much better, having larger bathrooms and slightly smaller closets. Bathrooms have a sliding door for the toilet. Loved the stateroom design.

We started in Rome & ended in Dubai. Boarding in Rome was very easy. I’m a platinum plus, so zipped right thru. Only one complaint. For some reason, every one of our umbrellas were taken out of our luggage when we boarded. ??? 3 of them?
Every port was easy on & off.
Oman & Fujairah were shipping ports, so not designed for ships yet. But transportation were brought to ship.
