Mid-Ship Balcony (BA) Cabin Reviews

Because of the location the balcony was larger than typical which was a nice feature as we ended up spending more time on our balcony than anticipated.

Excellent cabin, good location, though its quite a bit more forward than mid-ship. Norwegian cabins tend to be larger and nicer than other cruise lines that are similar in size to Norwegian ships. The bathrooms are larger, and the shower has a door and is a nice size to be able to move around. The closet has a nice amount of space and the balcony is of decent size. The bed wasn't very comfortable and I asked my room steward for an eggcrate topper, and within a couple of hours it was provided. My back was forever grateful and I slept really well for the remainder of the cruise. Read Less

We have cruised quite a bit, and know to bring the little things that make it a non-clutter trip: over-the-door shoe hanger for all of our bathroom needs (although there are quite a few shelves and storage in the bathrooms); magnets for hanging the dailies and invites, etc. on the walls; and magnetized hooks for coats, scarves, binoculars, etc. Read Less

Our cabin steward Gilbert was good. He kept the cabin stocked. There were a few days where we wished the cabin was finished earlier (AM clean up). I'm sure they are all working as quickly as they can and have many cabins to tend to. Sometimes I wonder if they even stop working (i.e. they get through the morning clean up and just turn around and start the the evening turn down). A thankless job. On previous cruises, I've had many cabin stewards call me by name in the hallways when they see me. That is a nice touch. We had a BA mid-ship balcony. It was "nice" to have, but it wasn't totally necessary in Alaska due to the temps in the mornings and evenings (when we were in the cabin). It did come in handy to watch the "pier walker" get paged on the PA and then stroll up the gangway. Read Less
