We have traveled with NCL before and had a great time. This time was absolutely the worst cruise/vacation I have ever been on. The Joy is Disorganized and overcrowded. Ship is under staffed, and overworked with rude employees. Not enough elevators, food was average, everything took longer than it should. Shows were booked, crowded, people standing along the walls. Some video games broken, WiFi ...
Where to begin. Cabin was so very small and it as just the 2 of us. Bed cannot be broken down into twins. Bathroom was very large which was a plus. Food was horrible with the exceptions of the specialty dining rooms which were michelin class food. Servers in the garden cafe buffet dining were incredibly rude. No one to take drink orders so had to keep going to bar for refill on pepsi. ...
We have been on many cruises. I have sailed on NCL many years ago. This last experience was one of the worst. The food in the restaurants was mediocre. There was an up charge to eat in the better restaurants. Our cell phones couldn’t be used. No reception. We had many people in our group. We couldn’t correspond with others in our group. Water was scarce. We could not bring water in the ship ...
On arrival at dock in Seattle all went well, but in the check-in process the person handling our check-in was, to be kind, totally at a loss. She could not get my unlimited American Express card to work on their equipment. After several attempts she stated “don’t worry unless you want to buy something on board you don’t need your ship card, just use your credit card.” With that she gave us our ...
My husband and I looked forward to seeing Alaska, like a kid before Christmas. We have cruised before, but not utilizing NCL. The boarding process was relatively easy. That is where the excitement ended. You expect this grand welcome, however, the most thrilling response was "washy washy" as you received germ killer boarding the ship. I echo other reviewers as we received zero interaction of ...
We decided to cruise for our 40th. wedding anniversary. We elected an Alaskan cruise on the Norwegian Joy. This was the worst mistake we have ever made making vacation plans. Prior to boarding we were advised to select our shows and to book our three (3) speciality restaurants. We did all of this months prior to sailing.
We boarded the ship and after a few hours were told we could go to our ...
To start off with I booked the owner's suite in the haven the most expensive sweet on the ship. From the get go I was not made to feel special at all the concierge was less than helpful At one point I went to the concierge desk and ask her to make a spa appointment for my wife the concierge probably called the spa then handed my wife the phone if I was going to make the reservation I could ...
I had originally booked the Pearl well over a year ago. That was just the beginning of frustration with NCL awful customer service.
I won't talk about that, I'm just going to start with our onboarding experience.
We flew in day of the cruise. We actually got on the buses they took our bags for us, and we didn't prebook this it was 40$ for two people and they brought our bags to our ...
Let me start with the fact that our cruise we had chosen was cancelled by NCL because they accidently put the wrong dates for a cruise online, so they cancelled.. I called to get my money back and was told I could not and I had to choose another sailing.. I fought with them as I just wanted my money refunded and was told no.. I LOST all the money I paid for my flights because ncl said they could ...
I’d like to start off with saying that I had a really bad experience this time when we sailed in your ship. Below are some details which will help you understand:
• Check-in Process - Check in for which we had to stand in the line, however no one knew the start and end of the line and didn’t know which order people were going to the counter, then when we finally reached the counter after 30 ...
