First, not our first cruise. We paid for 10 family members to cruise with us. Two of the rooms got a $25 credit, 3 did not when we went to check on this the customer service manager was beyond rude. I tried to take a picture of his name badge (as I couldnt make out his name when he spoke); he must be hiding from someone or something as he was sooo offended that i would snap a pic of his badge. Why ...
We sailed with 16 of our closest friends. A fantastic time was had by all. The casual atmosphere allowed for some much needed R and R. OSheehan's was a great venue for lunch. Most of us ate at Tsar's for dinner together and were taken care of by a fantastic wait staff. They seemed to anticipate our every want and need. Trujillo was especially refreshing. We didn't book an excursion but decided to ...
I hardly ever write on of these reviews but felt I must on this. My husband and I have cruised for years and have done maybe 50-60 cruises. In the past, we have stayed away from Norwegian cruises because we had heard many horror stories about the line. Friends of ours had booked a cruise on Jan 17, 2015 and we decided to tag along.
This 7 day cruise on the Jewell was one of the best ever. We went ...
Our trip started as an adventure in booking a timeshare. We couldn't find anything and airfare is so expensive, so we decided to try a cruise again. It's been 3 years since a week cruise on Carnival so we looked for something 2-3 weeks away. We have only cruised Carnival before and enjoyed each one. The thought of going through the chaos in Galveston was not a pleasant thing. So we search for a ...
Sailed Jan 31-Feb 7 on NCL Jewel in a 2BR Haven Villa with myself, husband, three children (10, 8, 6) and my mother. Have sailed several times on NCL on different ships and in different suites.
Embarkation at Bayport Cruise Terminal was quick and painless. Arrived at 11am and was on the ship, in Cagney's before 11:45. Had lunch then our suite was ready. It was cold but my kids immediately got ...
This was my fella and mine very first cruise, so I wasnt really sure what to expect, but figured a first timer review might be helpful to other newbies. We are both in our late 20s.
Port: Houston was a really nice and easy port. We got through bag check and security with ease. Several security guards were joking around with the crowd. I was very impressed with the port when we disembarked too. We ...
We really enjoy cruising the Caribbean. This is our fourth trip there on a cruise ship. This was our first time on the NCL Jewel. We were in a balcony cabin. Our cabin Steward was fabulous. He learned our names immediately and used them every time he saw us. We were in a large party and he helped keep track of all of us. The food in the Main Dining Room Tsar's was absolutely fabulous. I tried new ...
I booked a very last minute cruise on the Jewel and I couldn't have been happier with the trip. I live in the Houston Metro and have now been on eight cruise's, five on Carnival, one on Royal Caribbean, and two on Norwegian.
The Jewel sails out of the Port of Houston which is in the industrial part of the metro and surrounded by refineries. It is not the most attractive place to begin your ...
My husband and I took our cruise to the Western Caribbean with our daughter and son-in-law for New Years. It was a wonderful cruise. We went to Cozumel, Belize and the Banana Coast. The activities on the ship were so much fun and the shows were very professional. The cabin was very nice and we loved the balcony. The food was fantastic and it seemed like we were eating every 20 minutes. On our date ...
We've been asked why two people would need a two bedroom, two bath suite with 4 TVs, and I'm not sure exactly how many phones. And of course the truth is very few people actually NEED the space and the amenities in the Haven to have a good time on a cruise. That said, the space and service level in the Haven actually did enhance our enjoyment of the cruise.
I got sick during our first sea day. ...
