Nice common areas on deck - appreciated the stage area in a central spot that was consistent with music and entertainment throughout sea days and in the afternoons as cruisers were returning to the ship.

Hello Travelers, I would like to share with you our experiences on NCL Jewel Baltic Capital Cruise with a 2 day extension in London, the good, the bad and the ugly from August 1 thru August 16, 2009. My wife and I flew from Chicago to London on United Airlines while my friends from Tampa, FL flew in on British Airlines. After arriving in London, our Vantage tour Representative was waiting for ...

My wife and I recently returned from a Baltic Capitol cruise on the Norwegian Jewel. A jewel it was not. The line touts its freestyle cruising, but it is anything but free. They nickle and dime you to death, e.g. $10 to exchange currency, $10 to $25 cover charge per person for the opportunity to eat at an alternative restaurant rather than at the dining rooms which serve bland, tasteless meals ...

We have cruised before, two cruises on Airtours (no longer in the cruise market), two back to back (four weeks in total) with Windstar and a previous Transatlantic to Italy and through to France (two weeks) with NCL on this ship.  Our primary reason for booking this cruise was an interesting itinerary and a very cheap deal for an Inside Guarantee a couple of weeks before sailing.Free parking was ...

It's been months since I've returned, and I've needed the extra time to temper my comments. Pre-cruising was unpleasant. I had several instances to have to contact the cruise line before departure. Each time, NCL refused to deal with me directly because I hadn't booked directly with NCL, my travel agent had booked my reservation. I'm a Latitudes member and this cruise was my 4th with ...

This was a reasonable cruise, the boat was very well organized, the excursions were good and timely, cabins were good, staff was overfriendly for additional tip hunting reasons, food was very good in the main Tzar's restaurant and I liked the sport facilities including the NCL stadium with all it had on offer. We also had a case of my wife's bag having disappeared and security doing a fabulous job ...

We started our Baltic trip with four days in London and two days in Dover. We used National Express for travel from Heathrow to London, London to Dover and Dover to Canterbury - in each instance the service was efficient and inexpensive and I booked all tickets on line. While we saw much in London, the highlights were the London Eye and seeing the Phantom of the Opera. Our B&B was very basic but ...
