If there is ever a cruise to shell out the big bucks for an Owner's suite, this is the cruise. The owner's suite has both a front and side facing balcony, thus able to see 270 degrees. A particular advantage for viewing the glaciers, as well as seeing out both sides when going through places like the inside straight. At this time of year, it is never really dark, so lots of opportunity to make use of the balconies. I was able to take a lot of video with a tripod from the front and side decks. Which was better even than the area reserved for Haven passengers. This stateroom is outside the Haven area, so we got the next two balconies as well, one of which is adjoining. The living room was more than adequate for our party of six. The only thing I can gripe about regarding the room was that it did not appear that there were any significant upgrades (TV not withstanding) in the recent dry dock. Cabinets are nicked up, hinges are stiff and in some cases don't quite line up right, the bathroom door sticks if it is closed all the way, etc. There was also something broken with the sofa bed, but our room steward came up with a good work around, so presented no issue. I see that there is a quick refirb scheduled for September addressing some of the front facing suites, hopefully they will address the Owner's suites at the same time. Note to NCL, the Ottoman is a complete waste of space, please replace it with a coffee table, love seat, etc. as is the case on the Jade. Read Less

This is a big, beautiful cabin. During the upgrade they changed the furniture and colors to be at soothing taupe palette. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was nice having two balconies. The front facing balcony was large and the side facing balcony was long. It gave us a lot of options during the inclement weather days. During the recent drydock they could’ve done a better job with electrical outlets. There are none anywhere near the bed and only a few awkwardly located, but not a showstopper. We love having the unlimited bottled water that’s included with owner’s suite and above. We had a Hubbard glacier viewing party and our butler provided us with a spread of food and the bottles of alcohol that are part of the owner’s suite. Plenty of room for eight people and the double balconies really came in handy for the best views. Read Less

Room was nice, however, mold on shower ceiling and bathroom ceiling was not acceptable. Likewise repair job on tub looked like it was done in a rush. Bed was comfortable.

Would book this room in a heartbeat again, Something special just looking out to where you are heading in the middle of the Pacific. Sunset? The best!

While the Owner’s Suites on the Jewel are dated in appearance, they are spacious (700+ square feet) and functional, and they offer some of the best views on the ship. Our suite was 10004, which is on the front-starboard side of the ship, positioned directly below the ship’s bridge. We’ve made a video tour of this cabin, which you can view on YouTube: https://youtu.be/vJyplnCQraA The décor of the suite didn’t feel like something designed in this century. The carpet looked new, but the furnishings, wall/ceiling treatments, artwork, TVs, and bathroom finishings all looked old and worn. However, we grew to love this room. The suite is very functional with ample living space, dining space, and privacy. The living area includes a pull-out sofa, lounge chair and chaise, in addition to a 32” (or so) old plasma TV and DVD player. The dining area has a large table with four chairs and could comfortably accommodate four diners. In addition to the master bathroom with a dual-vanity, the suite included a half-bath, which certainly came in handy when getting ready in the mornings. In the bedroom, the king-size bed was comfortable, and the linens were fine, if not particularly memorable. The bedroom has another small, dated plasma TV with a DVD player. There is also a writing desk with additional storage, though it’s unlikely you’ll need it—this suite has a massive walk-in closet connected to the master bathroom. We felt like we had plenty of places to hide our junk! Aside from the incredible views afforded by the two balconies, we grew to love this suite because of its size and function. We had privacy from each other when we wanted it, but could keep it open when we didn’t. It has plenty of space for storage—more than you’ll likely need. And the furniture, while ugly, was comfortable and functional. We’d like to see Norwegian update the technology in the room to include modern TVs with on-demand movie offerings. We were disappointed that the TVs were so old that they didn’t include HDMI ports that we would use to connect our iPads to watch our own TV shows, movies and videos. And lastly, we’d like to see Norwegian install better window coverings in the master bath. The current coverings are see-through, and with a window looking out to the side balcony, you couldn’t help but feel a little exposed—and yes, you can clearly see through the shade from the balcony in to the bathroom (we tested it so you don’t have to). During a more extensive refit, I’m confident this room could be made stunning, but even as it stands today, we would happily sail in it again! Read Less

We stayed in 10004 Haven Owners Suite with Large Balcony H3. The cabin was stocked with the items I requested from the Concierge Desk prior to boarding. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved that we had 2 balconies! The butler Putu Abadi was very accommodating and attentive. My favorite person on-board was our stateroom steward Renelito Trinidad (Rene)! He was very hospitable, funny, and observant. One day Rene noticed I was limping on my ankle and asked if I was okay and if I wanted an ice pack! He'd make me the coolest towel animals multiple times a day because he knew I like them. I already miss him making me laugh everyday! The concierge Bruno Dentone was always helpful in getting our shore excursions or making last minute dinner reservations even if they were booked up. Read Less

This is a Haven Suite which entitles you to many Haven amenities. Very spacious. Has a couch (which makes into a hide-a-bed), chair and lounge in the living room, along with a side balcony. Dining room has a table with four chairs. There is a small bathroom when you first come into the suite. The bedroom is very large and has a large bathroom and changing area, in addition to another balcony in the front of the ship. There is also a desk and lounge in the bedroom. There are two robes, slippers, binoculars, and laptop computer to use. Oh, and two safes. We also got the Haven Suite 10004 which housed my daughter, son-in-law and 10 year old grandson and 7 year old granddaughter. The grands slept on the hide-a-bed. They also loved having a TV in the bathroom so they could soak in the tub and watch sports. Both suites were identical just on the opposite side of the ship. There were dvd machines in both the living room and bedroom. You get the movies from the butler. There is also a coffee machine and refrigerator, which the butler stocks each day. The butler also brings you a mid-afternoon snack of fruit, chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, etc. each day. The bed was sooo comfortable. The towel animals by the steward were entertaining along with the mints on the bed. A lot of people say they are not in their rooms but to sleep but I like to spread out and not feel cramped so I book the suites. There are a lot of people on the ship around the bars, swimming pool and decks. This is a little bit of heaven to have some peace and quiet away from everyone. Read Less

S3 10504, the Pink Diamond Suite, is an amazing room on the NCL Jewel. There are three tvs...the main room, the bedroom, and one in the bathroom. You have a large main room with a full size sleeper sofa, an armchair, a round coffee table and a lounger couch. From the main room, you can get to the side facing balcony, which is 2 times the width of a standard balcony and half of it is deeper a s well. 4 chairs, two mall tables, and a footrest fit comfortably in the space. In the main room area is your bar cabinet, which had (on the 11/4/12 sailing) A pod machine with a large selection, full complement of bar ware, a fridge, and storage. You get 3 complimentary bottles of spirits with your room, as well as stocked and refilled soda, coffee, tea. Nice bottle of Champagne as well ( Monet I believe). The suite has a recessed space for the dining area, big enough for a decent sized table and four chairs. There is also a half bath just off your entry door. You can curtain off your sleeping area and the master bath. The bed is King Sized and very comfortable. You can customize your pillow selection. You are given a computer and desk to use, but the computer can ONLY access Inet and minutes are not included in the price. The master bath has double sinks, separate WC, stall shower and a full bathtub. The bath has two windows with Semi Transparent Shades, so be prepared to cover them with a towel if you want full privacy. You have a walk in dressing area with 2 safes, a pants press, full vanity with hair drier and makeup mirror. Plenty of storage for all your needs. Through the Bedroom to the Front Facing Balcony. The Sea door is heavy, do not recommend allowing youngins to mess with it. While not the widest of the forward facing balconies on the jewel class ships, there was plenty of room for 2 full size loungers and a decent end table and the ability to walk around them with no problems. Great views! You need to keep your curtain drawn on the forward facing balcony at night because you are right under the bridge. You can go on and off the balcony as you please, but keep the shade drawn over the window and the door closed other then entering and exiting after dusk. This room is pure spoilage for a couple, and could easily handle a family with 2-3 kids as long as the kids don't mind sharing the sleeper sofa. There ARE kid locks on the balcony doors in the main room. You have a cordless phone that works anywhere on ship. The SE Suite on one side and the Balcony room on the other do have adjoining doors for accommodating a larger group. The room service can be from anywhere, but if a cover charge applies you must pay it for the item. You have a day Butler AND a night butler, as well as a concierge. There is a room steward as well. Remember the concierge and butler are not part of the DSC, you should tip accordingly. Read Less
