Nice common areas on deck - appreciated the stage area in a central spot that was consistent with music and entertainment throughout sea days and in the afternoons as cruisers were returning to the ship.

First Time Cruiser- Great Overall Experience

This Cruise was a celebration of my wife's battle of overcoming Cancer. We left Kansas City the night before and arrived in Houston almost two hours late due to air delays. We stayed at the LaQuinta on NASA Parkway, and basically just slept, ate breakfast and left. The taxi ride to the hotel and cruise terminal was fine, and the driver was great about telling us bits of information. Upon arrival ...

This is the 2nd time on NCL Jewel which was booked the very last minute. Since the last time has to say she went thru refurbishment and looks a LOT better. NCL took out the Chocolate Night and the lobster night but did have a sea food night on the last day. Cabin was clean and even when we did not wanted it cleaned, Sam cleaned it anyways. Food was ok. Menu hardly changed from November ...

I thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. All of the crew members were very helpful. Our room steward, Eddie, was wonderful and worked around our schedule to make sure the room was taken care of. The servers in the restaurants were very attentive and professional. The only issue I had was in Teppanyaki. They gave our dessert to us late, then within a few minutes of getting it, a server told us we needed to ...

I found a handful of people complaining about length of time to get a drink. We found the best waiter the 1st day & our group just meshed with him. He had the best personality & went the extra mile for us daily. We usually started out the day with a nice tip because he was well deserving of it. I hope you all are lucky enough to meet Oswell Raymond. He will make your trip extra special. You ...

I sailed on the NCL Jewel before and when I saw it sailed from Houston this was a no-brainer for my gift of a cruise to my niece. I have preconceived notion of what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised and a few areas. First, I heard there was 750 children on board and I would say 99% of them were extremely well behaved. I enjoyed sharing the cruise with them. In fact I Delighted in ...

This was our first time cruising out of Houston. Parking at the Port was easy as was driving in and out of the Port. You must purchase parking pass on line to receive the $75/week rate otherwise it is $80. We arrived about noon and embarkation was smooth. It takes roughly about 4 hours to get out of the Port of Houston, so all alcoholic beverages have a tax on them, and the casino won't open ...

We took this cruise during our Spring break in Manitoba Canada. We had a group of 12 total (3 families), split up into 4 Balcony rooms on Deck 9. My wife, daughter an I were on the Jewel in July of last year for an Alaskan cruise. We flew into Houston the night before the cruise, and stayed at the Best Western Plus in Seabrook. This hotel specializes in pre and post-cruise stays, and ...

This was going to be our 9th cruise, third on NCL, first on the Jewell. There were plenty of activities to do on the ship. Plenty of food to eat as well. The food was average. I expected more of a variety in the dinning rooms. Food was good though. In the main dinning rooms, service was a little slow, dinner took about 2 hours at dinner services, dinning room was not even half full. Ports were ...

It was our first cruise. And we don't like crowded places. But at Jewel, we never had this. Everything was good organized. We booked a balconyroom and it was awesome. Very clean, super roomservice. We were the most time eaten at the buffetrestaurant, because we like indian and asian foot. We also enjoyed breakfast at our balcony. And the T'sar Restaurant have very good breakfast and dinner and ...

We stayed in cabin 5566 an outside with an ocean view and 5567 inside cabin (for the kids) Embark and Disembark was quick and flawless a great job. Pros: good sized cabin. Bathroom was great with a good size shower and a closing door on the toilet room. In the cabin there was a small desk and a table and plenty of storage in the room. Not enough hangers really in the closet. The room ...
