We upgraded to a Spa Balcony and based on the website description were expecting a slightly nicer cabin than the standard balcony. Even though the ship had just been in dry dock were surprised that the cabin was no different from a standard cabin. The only difference between a Spa Cabin and standard balcony is that you are on a higher deck and have access to the Spa. Whilst the cabs itself was nice enough for the price I thought it could have been a bit more lux than a standard balcony cabin given that they charge you quite a bit more for a Spa cabin. The cabin itself is fairly stock standard but a lot smaller than other balcony cabins we have stayed in. Like the rest of the ship it just lacked the nice finishes you find on Royal Caribbean such as power points by the bed and quality fixtures and fittings. I think NCL try to cram too many passengers onto their ships and the size of the cabins reflect this. The Mandara Spa is quite nice and provides a great getaway from the crowds on the ship. It has a nice area to chill out with a spa pool, sauna, steam room, salt room. Read Less

Smaller than usual. Make sure you pick a cabin wedged between two floors of cabins like this one. Passengers below the pool deck heard scraping chairs and ping pong tables. TV channels were okay. More movies would have been great. ... Read More

Ratty gross carpet I didn’t even want to be barefoot on. Most uncomfortable beds we’ve ever slept on on vacation and our room was all the way up front; sharing a wall with the bride/captain so 3/7 nights we were up all night cause of the horn blowing constantly. We originally booked a balcony stateroom but through the bid program got the spa balcony which was clearly a scam which is why we got this room. Read Less

The cabin was nice. The beds were comfortable and cozy. It was exactly what I expected in a cruise cabin. The spa rooms were supposed to be a little nicer than regular balcony ones, but I couldn't tell the difference. The coffee maker than grounds were nice to have in the room (we brought our own creamers). The location under the spa made it nice and quiet, especially at night with the spa closed. The room was pretty dry and stuffy unfortunately, and I ended up having to take medicine every night because it made my throat tickle/cough when sleeping. I checked my Fitbit when I got home to see how well I slept on the cruise. I didn't feel it at the time, but I slept very poorly apparently. Read Less

We chose a spa balcony cabin, 14122. It seemed to be longer than other balcony cabins on other ships as we had a full size couch although the room was slightly narrower. It had a lot of shelves next to the closet and around the desk so we had no problem stowing our clothes. Our large suitcases easily slid under the king bed. Our room was clean and we had a good cabin steward. The bathroom was slightly larger than normal for a standard size cabin – also plenty of shelves. Only drawback with the shower is they have liquid soap so if you like bar soap, bring it. Our room had a medium size flat screen TV but there wasn’t much to watch. One channel for kid’s movies and one for grownup movies which had some of the most unheard of movies I’ve ever seen. I believe their goal is to make you purchase movies which run $9. The room had two 110v outlets by the desk. Our excursion tickets were on the desk as well as 2 bottles of water and a bottle of sparkling wine since we were returning Latitudes reward members.
