Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony (MA) Cabin Reviews

Sail Date: February 2018
The cabin was great. A little small for a mini-suite, the same class room on Princess is much larger.

The room was clean and inviting our only complaints were that the only electrical outlets we found in there were the ones at the desk by the balcony door. Nothing on either side of the bed for recharging cell phones while sleeping (used the cell phone alarm to wake for port days) and no outlets in the bathroom for electric razors or anything hair related. All charging had to be done on that desk. The other complaint was that each time we have cruise we have upgraded to a better room. When we were on The Escape last year we sprang for a balcony and loved it so we upgraded again and this time went for the Mini Suite Mid w/Balcony only to find that while it was an upgrade in price it was the exact same room.....no bigger no fancier in fact the balcony seemed a little smaller. Bummer. Read Less

I loved our mini-suite on the 14th floor. It was so convenient to pop up one flight of stairs for coffee in the morning or a quick snack. The cabin was about the same size as a standard cabin with the addition of a spacious bathroom. The bathroom had a large sink with two faucets and ample storage underneath. The shower was wonderful--a walk in shower complete with a rain type shower head and 6 jets! I felt as if I was at home. There were only two drawbacks to this room. First, If you like to watch TV in bed, it was difficult in this room. The TV was positioned so that if you were in bed, it was difficult to use the remote and a little uncomfortable to watch. Secondly, every morning around 5:30 am, the cafe staff would move the furniture around right above your head making it difficult to sleep. Read Less

This was our first mini-suite (#13834), although it was really a regular sized balcony stateroom with a bigger bathroom. Don’t get me wrong, the bigger bathroom (with double sink and cascading shower) were very nice. There were four of us in the room – myself, DW, DD17, and DD12. We all fit comfortably, and were able to stow away everything we brought. The balcony was not as large as other ships, but it fit me fine – especially in the only busy times, during the mornings, while I had to “step out” while the girls were dressing. It had everything you need – hair blower, soap, shampoo, etc. The room was kept fairly neat, and tidy, although not always perfectly clean. The steward do not disturb button was not intuitive – and hard to figure out for that are color blind. The décor was pleasing as well. Also note, a key card was needed to keep the electricity on in the room. The one big drawback, which we kind of ignored, was the smell that occasionally came from the bathroom. Read Less

We stayed in a Mini Suite and we enjoyed it, plenty of room for my husband and myself with plenty of storage for our clothes, and I always over pack, and plenty of storage under the bed for our suitcases. We usually stay in a Haven suite, and I have to say that we liked the bathroom better in the Mini vs the Haven Courtyard Suite.Out Balcony was also a good size, not very big 2 Chairs and a small table, but big enough to go out and enjoy some time on the balcony.
