We loved our large balcony rooms. The rooms had plenty of storage and a place for everything so we were able to keep the room extremely tidy. Big thanks to a savvy cruise critic traveler who recommended a clear plastic hanging shoe organizer from Walmart. I hung one on the shower door and it created a perfect storage place for sunglasses, camera, sunscreen, Vibe bands and passes, toothpaste and brushes, etc so nothing was left sitting about. We used the bench sitting area which was near the door in 9720 and enjoyed the view. The large balcony has 2 chaises, 2 chairs and a table. All well-used throughout the trip. The bed was comfy and the suitcases fit underneath. Also appreciated. Loved the hair dryer under the vanity area which created a perfect place to get ready. The room functioned very well. Our second room was occupied by our teen daughters. They loved it as well. Even "camped out" on the chaises one evening. Only one criticism, they wouldn't open the balcony walls to create a family space because it's a "fire hazard" but. My sister and her family were on the Escape two weeks ago in The Haven and they opened the balcony between her two suites. Not a fire hazard in The Haven. Hmmm... Loved the location on 9. Very close to 678 Ocean Place where all the action is. Large balcony rooms are all forward so it was very quiet. Restaurants and bars are all mid to back starting one floor down. I originally booked on 12 wanting adjoining rooms but they weren't available. After some research, I learned 12 could be noisy with all the kids. I walked about on 12 and was so happy we moved. I wouldn't want to be on 11 either with kids running overhead - it was loud!! I also looked at spa rooms on 14 but since the teens couldn't use the thermal spa suite opted out of that. I think we would have just walked a lot more stairs... Overall very happy with our rooms. Read Less

Cabin was spacious enough some criticisms is that AC power is only available on one side of the cabin. So we tended to charge most thing on the main counter. Wall safe way too small and actually was quite difficult to get or leave our IPAD's in there. So we just left them out and nothing happened to them. Even with the larger balcony category, balcony was smaller than we are used too, and with 2 loungers and 2 chairs and a table was a squeeze. Good Points There was plenty of hangers for us. Now a tip if you have a thing about people looking down on you dont pick the balconies forward on deck 8 as we were on nine and looked straight down on them. Shower cubicle plenty big enough and has a small foot rest for women to shave their legs. Be careful with shower water handles for temperature as they take a little getting used too , seem opposite logic to me so be sure to test the it before you get in as the HOT can get pretty hot. This stateroom is also a bit of walk to the stairs/elevators which suited us but may not suit others. In this Stateroom the bed is nearer to the balcony door which we also like. This configuration always seems to me to make the room more roomier. Bed was comfortable and we had or heard no noises. Balcony always had some shade so was great for just sipping a drink and relaxing late afternoon before dinner. We tried room service - just ordering Tea and few croissants as there was a coffee machine and the machine worked just fine. The food arrived on the pre- ordered time And the Coffee packets for the coffee machine , actually tasted not bad. Stateroom attendant - Frank was awesome and he does/makes some fantastic towel animals. Read Less

Our cabins 9714 and 9716 provided ample storage and closet space. These staterooms are in the same alcove in the hallway, meaning the doors are side by side. Both cabins had beds next to the closet. We had one room with split twin beds at our request and the other with the queen/king size. Each of the two balconies had a sun chaise, two chairs and a table. The bridge sticks out directly above these cabins. Others can look down on part of your balcony. The balconies always had some shade on them throughout some of the day. We experienced a good bit of motion being so far forward this cruise. But it also cut down on hall noise since it was near the end of the hallway. I must mention that you can hear some noise on occasion. A loud bang here or there. We could never tell what it was but it didn't bother us either as we expect ship noises and motion while underway. Robes were available upon request. Read Less

Suite on SKY last year was much bigger with a separate room for the boys to change and sleep. This is the first time we have dealt with an overhead bunk. But our room steward Johnell was great. Regardless of our plans, he managed to pop in and out to take care of the room, drop and put away the bunk, AND always took note of when we asked not to be disturbed. Wonderful guy. Balcony has plenty of room for 2 chairs and 2 lounges + 2 people standing taking in the sites. Read Less

Nice cabin, pretty comparable to what we had on celebrity. However, we upgraded to a large balcony because the normal ones are painfully small compared to other ships this size. Plenty of spaces for storage, never really felt cramped.
