We booked IX We ended up with a room with 2 beds on the wall along with the 2 beds pushed together to make a queen. Which makes it difficult to get into the bed so we asked for our beds to be separated, Which made for much easier entrance and more spacious room. much easier to put luggage under the bed also. The room has so drawers. Which we knew from our first time on the ship. So purchased these folding storage boxes at Dollar tree which are excellent to put socks, underwear etc in and keep on top shelve in the closet. They fold up and weight almost nothing. And quite a deal for a $1. I do like the storage hassock something the NCL Escape did not have.. it does have a hassock to sit on but does not open for storage like the Getaway does. Our inside room on NCL Escape had no drawers either . It was sufficient for what we paid at the last minute and we booked an inside guarantee. We were told we were upgraded to a family inside on deck 13, but let me tell you what this means- it means you will get a 135 sf cabin with two overhead beads mounted on the wall that you will constantly need to duck around while getting in and out of bed. Of course they are still up against the wall (unless you have your kids, then the bunks will be open) but every inch of space counts in 135 sf, so this makes the room feel measurably smaller. Also, you will hear noises that sound like a large bucket of ice shifting or carts rolling- this is actually toilets flushing. It's not too annoying. What is annoying though is that there are corridors on 3 sides of the inside cabin we were assigned and people (including the stewards) love to hang out in the hall chatting at various volumes just inches from where you are resting your head on the pillow. Next time I will bring my portable white noise machine and that will take care of that. Basically it's an economy cabin and you get what you pay for. Read Less

Cabin: We had an Inside Family Stateroom which provided the minimum, yet sufficient, amount of space, even for three adult males. I would suggest buying an over the door plastic shoe hanger device to store toiletries, sandals, and other small items that you want to access with ease and not overcrowd the limited counter space in the small but practical bathroom. The counter space in the inside cabins is enough for two; three is tight. The cabin was kept very clean and towels were provided daily. Be sure to use to use the switches by the front door to ask housekeeping to clean your room or not to disturb. NCL's housekeeping staff works hard and it shows. My only suggestion would be that cabin attendants should meet guests on the first day. I was unable to establish personal contact wth housekeeping until the 3rd day, and that was only after I asked nearby attendants to find my assigned room steward. We appreciated the habit of providing fresh ice in the room twice a day. The water in the bathrooms is drinkable meaning the is no need to pay the additional amount for the bottled water left in each room at $4.50 each bottle. The shower was very good. There is ample space for one person but not two. The shower gel and shampoo are in dispensers on the shower wall; they work well. There is no conditioner or body lotion; bring your own. There is facial tissue in the bathroom; a nice touch. Read Less
