1-10 of 1,432 Norwegian Getaway Balcony Cabin Cruise Reviews
This was the worst cruise EVER. The only good thing was we had an awesome Cabin Steward.
We waited on line 4 hours to get on board the ship. Norwegian did not accept our negative Covid test results even though I called NCL to make sure the date would be acceptable for a Sunday departure. We had to pay an additional $150 and get tested there at the pier. We paid an additional $40 for a ...
If this were our first cruise, we would never go cruising again.
The embarkation in NY is described as chaotic at best. Nothing indicates where you should go to drop off luggage (we parked for $200 at garage on W 58st and walked). The ship was at pier 88, and we asked a porter what to do, he said to drop bags and go to pier 90. No signs or NCL personnel anywhere directing. At pier 90, we ...
This was the by far worst cruise trip I ever had among all 6 cruise trips I had before. (3 were Norwegian). Not sure they were not ready post-pandemic, or they didn't expect this many people will be on this cruise. Bad planning and worst execution. I heard only a few hundred shorts from the full capacity. So, the ship was almost full.
Still no apologies from the NCL and no explanation ...
I’ve loved NCL for a while now. This was my 3rd or 4th cruise to Bermuda out of NY on NCL. I’ve also tried RCL for a couple out of Florida and just preferred not to hassle with flights and Covid tests however, I was sadly mistaken. I had a group of five which included 2 kids ages 5 and 12. Firstly, NCL Getaway is much like the other cruise ships they have that’s mid size with 6-7 specialty ...
That was my first drive-in cruise. No airplane from Montreal just drive to NY and find a not to expensive parking spot. We found one at 3 blocks away for 195$ for 7 days. The check-in/boarding was slow, always like that said people around who knew the place. And it was very cold, that was the last polar vortex of the season. Leaving from NY downtown is very fantastic. The 2 first days of the ...
This was our 13th cruise but first back since covid hit. We thought it would be somewhat safe with all passengers tested and vaxed. We had a great time and enjoyed being back on the ocean and not having to cook. We thought the food was excellent. We had no problem eating healthy with salads for lunch in the buffet and making healthy choices in the dining room. We enjoyed all the entertainment in ...
We are very grateful of the good service we received and would like to commend some people who were over and beyond the duty when it came to excellent service @ We'd like to thank Sandra Machorro Garcia - Bar Waiter, she is so pleasant to talk to she made sure I always had a drink and never a dry mouth, Ricky Lising and Eugene Prosperoso - waiters at Moderno and Reinelyn Beronilla assistant ...
I guess I should begin by saying that we have been to Miami a couple of times and noticed a remarked difference in attitude from staff at hotels. I should really advise of a small con when you book a taxi to the Cruise Port. We did this twice (we were on the Joy following the Getaway) and the same thing happened on both occasions from different hotels. Instead of a taxi arriving a massive black ...
We have cruised with Norwegian in the past and have been very satisfied (the Pearl). The dining options are always good as is the food. I really like the specialty restaurants, but my husband likes the buffet, so you can't lose.
The staff is always wonderful. We were pleased with the COVID protocol and safety measures. They were always busy cleaning.
We were less than impressed with ...
Firstly, our itinerary was changed prior to embarkation causing some minor hassle but in these times we had to go with it.
Check-in at the fantastic new NCL terminal in Miami is breathtaking, unfortunately, the check-in staff was not very well informed regarding Latitudes embarkation.
Once onboard we headed straight for the pool deck for a cocktail, we were greeted by very abrupt, rude ...
