"Disembarkation in Port Canaveral was bit of a chaos but thankfully as we had a tour booked to Kennedy space centre via NCL, we were one of the first off the ship and hence didn't have to wait too long. When he asked for one, we were informed that they didn't have fish knives despite having been given one the previous year in the same restaurant...."Read More

1-10 of 883 Norwegian Getaway Cruise Reviews for for the Disabled to the Bahamas
We did this cruise for there were lots of places to visit we did not know yet, Naples, Palermo and Syracuse on Sicily, Corfu, and Dubrovnik, Split en Rijeka in Croatia. We only had one sea day, so that was nice. The Getaway is a big ship so on the day at sea breakfast time was very crowded. We had a balcony cabin 8738 and the balcony was large, we had two chairs and a small table and two sunbeds! ...
I sailed with my sister and brother-in-law, both frequent cruisers, too. None of us had ever sailed on Norwegian before. But we had heard good things and chose this cruise because it was a "good deal" (or so we thought), we wanted to visit Portugal, and doing another trans-Atlantic seemed like a good idea.
We enjoyed ourselves in spite of Norwegian, not because of them. There were a few ...
Hello, I have never written a review like this, EVER. Actually in over 30 cruises this may be the second one. We are Sapphire Latitude status, that’s a lot of NCL cruises. We did a back to back. June 3 - 15 Port Canaveral to Lisbon, 12 nights - June 15 - 24 Lisbon to Rome, 9 nights.
BA Balcony cabin, room was a good location and we enjoyed it. Room steward was nice. NCL has stopped the ...
We chose this cruise because of the Atlantic crossing then stayed onboard beyond Lisbon for the destinations in the Mediterranean (21 day cruise, total). My wife and I are Sapphire members with NCL. We hadn’t cruised with NCL for about 2 years. We have been experiencing the decline of many aspects of NCL cruising for the last 6 or 7 years. Their customer service and food quality has been declining ...
This was my 2nd cruise on the Getaway, having previously sailed on a 7-night Caribbean cruise.
I chose this cruise because of the unique itinerary being very late in the season for a ship to reposition to Europe. As a single, it caught my attention as there was no single supplement.
The pre-cruise preparation was simple enough, and entering in all information online went smoothly. ...
We took our first transatlantic cruise and had two rooms for a family of seven. We haven’t cruised since before Covid. Based on the reviews I was quite worried. Concerns were all overstated. I am at a loss for all the negative reviews. As far as I can tell, some people just cannot create their own fun. I was worried about overcrowding. Nothing of the sort. Granted, it was a transatlantic ...
I spent my first Transatlantic cruise onboard the Getaway. I was already familiar with the ship, having taken her a few years ago for an 8-Day adventure through Scandinavia, Russia & the Baltic, which was incredible. The ship is quite comfortable and this time I was a bit nervous, as my bid for a balcony room was not accepted and for the first time in my half dozen cruises, I was in steerage (5th ...
Long time 4 Star Holland Customers. Picked NCL because of the itinerary(transatlantic crossing) and price. We’re worried about being on a 4000 passenger ship with lots of kids (youngest kids on Holland are 45). Worries never realized. Layout of ship with lots of small ares, including a dozen or more restaurants and two dozen bars never felt like we were on a mega ship. Children were a delight. ...
I will keep this short to highlight the positive because frankly there were very few issues of concern to talk about. The Getaway is an older ship that really did not show her age and you really had to look hard to find signs of wear anywhere. The ship is very well maintained and clean in all areas. Food quality, choices and presentation to include excellant service was the best we have ever had ...
This was the 7th cruise for me and the 8th for my wife. This was the first time on Norwegian for either of us. Other cruises have been with Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Port stops included Porta Plata, DR, St. John, Antigua, St. Thomas, USVI, San Juan, PR and the cruise line’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. There were two complete sea days on this nine-day cruise.
We booked ...
